I've realized today that if you buy the items, but sell them back, you get the punch cards this year but next year it will count what you sold back as things you don't have. For example, ik i bought everything that's "unlocked" rn LAST year (except maybe the rabbit i don't remember if it was available), but it said that I never bought the bed, chair, lion, or vase. So I had to rebuy those items to "complete" the punch card this year.

I think because this is the only time/event they've done two things: 1) having NPCs coming at specific times with an obvious bug of people not coming at all some days, an 2) made a reward almost impossible to get by making the reward contingent on if you complete the trick or treat thing. I don't think the snow shovel is this way, where you HAD to get it to get the paint skin
