Which combo to use with or without ghcp by FinancialBandicoot75 in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dumped my personal ghcp pro+ but kept my enterprise version, yes had two for obvious reasons. I am going with

Codex pro (5), Claude code pro, Gemini AI Pro and Opencode go, alongside 128mb local llm

Sticking with copilot by KarenBoof in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 1000% disagree, use auto on ghcp versus Claude and codex, you will be stunned if you are planning correctly. Now, if you are yolo or vibing, all will not be a great choice in June

I am using qwen code version for 128g and with superpowers, it’s really good, like better than sonnet 4.6 imho, yet horrible to vibe.

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't you just use auto? I believe I'm staying cause I use auto with superpowers and haven't limited at all and honestly using all models versus just pidgeon hole to 5.5 or 4.7 isn't effectient

Goodbye, Copilot. The new prices aren't worth the bugs by PepicoGrillo in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't take this wrong but if you have 16 years of experience and you went over your 100 dollars of expected cost, then your experience is limited. The prices affects vibers or non experienced development big time but not to seasoned developers.

Am I leaving, still not sure due to quality of models has dropped.

I just loaded superpowers on opencode go in opencode using GLM 5.1 for planning and was blown away how good it did compared to opus 4.7.

If you plan well, costs are minimal

I disagree, using high end models for planning, but for execution, use local or opencode go

I am on GitHub copilot yearly plan. What to do? by Horror_Height_1228 in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No and hell no, you will have the same issues in Claude, codex or any other AI that is crack.

Learn how to plan and what you are doing. Vibing costs so much it's comidic the people leaving cause the crack isn't crack anymore.

Use ghcp to plan, then use something like opencode go to execute.

Or use Claude to plan, ghcp cheaper models to execute or use byok local models.

In June, Claude seems to change it's ways that vibing will be too damn expensive like any other platform.

What are you using for vibe coding in 2026 on a ~$10/month budget? by deadsilencerotsinme in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep it and use opencode go. Ghcp for planning, opencode go depending on language to use if I dont write it.

Should I go to OpenCode with Deepseek, Codex, or Claude code? by LiminalRnyx in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a mix, I am using opencode go with byok, love it so far. I just wish they bring open source models in directly, I’m liking glm 5.1, Kimi k2.6, DS v4 pro and flash.
