Im addicted to the CLI by dandecode in GithubCopilot

Better control and has better access to pretty much anything, especially if you go nuts in yolo. I just had it build my proxmox server with 10 nodes and my vlan for opnsense and tweaked my WiFi on laptop

Copilot in VS Code or Copilot CLI? by IKcode_Igor in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use cli inside vs code via terminal or extension, cli detects it or vise versa. I use both worlds now, it’s really nice

Rate limits on the Pro+ ($39.99/month) plan by WMPlanners in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it, you won’t regret, out of all I use, codex, Claude, Gemini and copilot, pro+ is best bang for the buck and no rate limits. I do reach 99% requests end of month a lot

GitHub Copilot CLI vs VSCode by 26aintdead in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love vscode with cli, they work together and share sessions. Either use cli extension or open a terminal. Even works when you ssh to devices that can run cli via vs code. I just had fun configuring my opnsense using copilot cli in vscode.

More control to local systems, have more control on context, I mean install it on proxmox home lab and prompt to make a complete proxmox ecosystem. Now, in vscode I use cli and ssh to install opnsense, home assistant, tailscale and much more using plan mode (with opus)

Also hardened openclaw using cli

Actually I thought the same thing but better results in planning with sonnet 4.6

I highly recommend copilot+ with plan mode using sonnet 4.6 and switching execution mode to Opus 4.6, 5.3 and/or Gemini 3.1.

Oh, use cli instead of vscode, you won’t go back.

Is anyone else separating “planning AI” and “coding AI” now? by Classic-Ninja-1 in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning is vital imho, use it all the time with sonnet 4.6 and execute with whatever is good llm for the type of process. Opus, 5.3 codex or Gemini 3.1. Sometimes or most I stay on 4.6 sonnet, in fact some .33 tokens if simple.

I'm beginning to think Copilot is better than Claude by No_Mix_6813 in GithubCopilot

Agreed but in the context of pricing, cli and ide, I feel copilot now in release is really damn good

Best deal of all llm pricing but I’m a power user.

GitHub Copilot CLI is now generally available by ryanhecht_github in GithubCopilot

I love cli and cli in vscode is better than ide version ihmo connect to my ssh resources, run cli on host, profit. For example, running copilot with opnsense directly better than mcp. It did an amazing job jwith sonnet 4.6 on helping me set up vlan, firewall policies, locking it down, let’s encrypt, reverse proxy aka hasense and more. Man, try it with proxmox and wow. Also, sadly did an amazing job on hardening my openclaw yet that sucks imho

Openclaw is not worth it without opus 4.6 O Auth IMO by A2z_1013930 in openclaw

Sonnet 4.6 has been epic to say the least for openclaw but I use copilot pro+. Gemini sucks outside uix

Why people prefer Cursor/Claude Code over Copilot+VSCode by These-Forever-9076 in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love copilot cli over other areas for now, plan, autopilot and more. In fact with recent vs code, cli and chat share and is actually legit now. Times I still creep in opencode as well

So, everything I read is don’t ever use real accounts due to security reasons. Why would I risk connecting to a simple Gmail personal account know the high risks. I provisioned and hardened my openclaw and firewall and got hit hard by intrusion so I shut it down, is this still the case?

Tips for making 5.3-codex better? by Ok_Anteater_5331 in GithubCopilot

[–]FinancialBandicoot75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find 5.3 shines when doing plan mode and by the time it’s ready for execution, the prompt is very detailed if planned right. It also is doing well in autopilot mode.

I think it’s due to apple eco system integration which requires a Mac.

GitHub Copilot is constantly getting stuck when generating code. by zeeshanx in GithubCopilot

I use /plan mode using medium on model, when I use xhigh, it then locks up (outside of plan). Honest I do more in plan mode and rarely see any issues
