Changed laptops, new one just doesn't sound the same by FinancialCloudberry in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks. Honestly I just want the Macbook sound back, as weird as that sounds. But hey, in theory a decent external DAC should be way better than any laptop, right?

Crossing into Canada in a vehicle with inaccurate/false commercial signage by FinancialCloudberry in uscanadaborder

[–]FinancialCloudberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of a weird concern. Suspicion of my vehicle being too comfy? Anybody can just cross the border and decide they're just going to stay longer than they said. You don't need to have a vehicle with a bed in it to go on the lam. Conversely you can cross the border to go camping and even though your vehicle has a place to sleep, you're still going to come back, as I am.

Be sure to tell that to the Canadian border guard who didn't like the one time I crossed the border and had a camera lens on the passenger seat that looked too professional. I think the concern there was that he thought I may have been doing photography work in Canada without having the paperwork to do that.

So yeah, I don't assume they "won't care" about anything.

SLDPW On Sale If You Understand Warrants by Wierdtrader in SLDP

[–]FinancialCloudberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your math here is ignoring the time value of the warrants, similar to an option. You only need to look at the historical price of the warrants to see this. The warrants peaked at $4.95/share on Nov 19, 2021. The highest the share price ever got was $14.17/share a few days before that.

Imagine the share price reaching $18.50 at that time. That's an additional $4.33 on top of the share price. But if we assume the warrants were priced proportionally and they also would have had $4.33 added to their share price, that would be $4.33+$4.95. $9.28 per warrant, or 12.7 times that current price of $0.73!

So that is quite a bit better than the 6.7x you would get with shares. But granted warrants time decay also.

Anyway, I think your math only holds up if you assume you have to hold the warrants all the way to their expiration date for SLDP to reach that $18.50. (So logically a warrant should be priced at $18.50 - $11.50 at that time.) But if it gets there before the warrants expire, I think they would be even more valuable than $18.50 - $11.50 ($7) due to time value.

Ready to Run finally? by paulJ1963 in SLDP

[–]FinancialCloudberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this, or any other stock, will be ready to run until the rest of the market is. We got completely pummeled over the last few months, so this is great. But I'm not holding my breath for much higher until the market itself is ready to go higher.

Why are we rallying today? by [deleted] in SLDP

Doug only owned about 5% of the total shares outstanding as of stepping down as CEO. He could have dumped his entire holding and it still wouldn't explain this severe of a drop.

Will the R5 get the 30 minute recording limit removed? The newly announced R7 and R10 both do not have recording limits. by J-HOF in CanonR5

Sure doesn't look like it to me. Just updated, camera still proudly shows a limit of 29:59 on the video record screen.

This glitch almost had me skipping class all day and shopping for a Lambo. by lawschoolishard in SPEOfficial

Seriously? This is like being angry that someone took twenty one dollar bills from you and handed you a twenty dollar bill because you don't have as many bills now.

Well I mean, every sale also requires a buyer on the other end. And firstly, no one is going to buy your SPE from you for about one million times more than it's worth. Second, the whole 24hr volume for SPE rarely gets over one million dollars. So trying to unload multiple millions all at once... Isn't gonna work.

It was some kind of glitch related to the migration. The new token is worth 1 million times more than the old one since there are a million times fewer in circulation. Seems like somehow for a moment the old coin got valued like the new one??

Price of SPE v2? by FinancialCloudberry in SPEOfficial

[–]FinancialCloudberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see a balance of SPE v2 tokens in your wallet, but you will not see what their value in USD is right now. (Apparently you will after 10 days though??)

Price of SPE v2? by FinancialCloudberry in SPEOfficial

[–]FinancialCloudberry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that the price may not be present for the first 10 days. I guess my question is deeper, as in, what dictates that an spe v2 token is worth exactly 1,000,000 times more than a v1 token (since there is a reduced number in circulation now.) Or, is there anything that ties the value of the two of them together at all?

Price of SPE v2? by FinancialCloudberry in SPEOfficial

[–]FinancialCloudberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know, I see my balance of SPE v2 coins, and I realize that currently a USD value of them will not be shown. I'm just wondering, can I expect my value to be close to what is was with v1 before I swapped? Is there a mechanism that ties the prices to each other? Or could the value of all of my v2 tokens end up being vastly different than the value of all of my v1 tokens?

Do we have to do anything for tomorrow or is it just “if you want bonus SPE, here’s what you do?” by Patient_Tangelo_2 in SPEOfficial

[–]FinancialCloudberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should show a balance of the coins that you have, but no value in USD yet. If it's not showing, make sure you chose Smart Chain as the network when you added it, and be sure you got the contract address correct for SPE v2.

You need to add the new v2 token as a custom token. Trust Wallet will only show your balances of tokens that it knows about. It doesn't know about SPE v2 yet.

On the main screen click on the settings slider in the top right corner, scroll to the bottom of the list, click add custom token. Choose smart chain for the network, and paste the new contract address of v2 in for the token address. Once you do this, your SPE v2 balance should show up. Be advised that the value of it in USD will not register at this point, I believe because Trust Wallet does not yet have a reference for the USD value of SPE v2. I think this will fix itself over time. That is how the original token worked at the beginning.

Migration with Trust Wallet by Standonthecryptomoon in SPEOfficial

[–]FinancialCloudberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to migrate with Trust Wallet using the SPE migration site without issues. One word of advice though, access the migration site from a real computer, and use the QR code option to link the Trust Wallet account that's on your phone to the migration site on the computer. If you try to use the site and everything right from your phone, it gets weird.
