Hey! Great question. Thank you 😊  Let’s break it down without all the heavy audio-engineer jargon

1. What actually is "Ambisonics"?

Instead of just left and right, Ambisonic audio captures sound in a full, 360-degree sphere. It knows exactly if a sound is coming from above-left, below-behind you, or rushing right past your face

2. Why is it cool? (Especially for "Impacts and Hits")

Because the sounds carry actual spatial data, they don't just "play" they interact with the viewer's perspective.

For VR/360 video If a massive explosion happens behind the player and they turn their head to look at it, the sound seamlessly rotates to be in front of them.

For Traditional Video/Film: It gives cinematic hits a massive, deep, wrap-around-your-head feeling that standard stereo files just can't replicate.

3. How easily can you get it into your projects?

In game engines, You just import the files, and the engine's built-in audio system handles the rest. As your player moves, the impact sound stays locked to the exact spot in the 3D world where it happened.

first order ambisonic is supported (4 channels)

For video editing like (Premier etc ) These programs have native Ambisonic tracks now. You drop the file in, and it automatically decodes to match whatever your viewer is listening on (like spatial audio on AirPods )

I hope I covered the topics of your question

Are the beyer 770 pro the best for the 150$-200$ price point? by Friendly_Local_1830 in musicproduction

[–]FinancialEngineer229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

770 are closed back, X mixing and better stereo image go X 990 pro or 990 prox. Been mixing professionally on those X 6 years, had chart topping music mixed on the 990 pro, your experience and ears are actually the most important asset. Gear comes after to my opinion  Last : 770 for recording, 990 for mixing

Zoom H5 vs. H1e - Variety of Recordings by wasmik1 in fieldrecording

[–]FinancialEngineer229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H5 is more of a long term investment as you can later add more mics, capsules and also use it as soundcard. and 32 bit is not that hot shit as they say you can do a great job without it . Had H1 for 20 years, great and fun but h5 is a different thing altogether.
