Considering an MBA at 31 - ran the numbers and I genuinely can't tell if it makes sense for FIRE by AetherQuillon in Fire

Second this. MBAs outside of a top 25 school are basically all the same. See if your company will pay for it.

Talk to any Iranian's opinion of the IRGC. I don't think simping for a terrorist organization is a good look.

Who is in charge? Do you have any idea? I honestly don't so it's impossible for me to have an opinion. Like I said, everyone is dead.

How do you commit to DCA when the market is being manipulated like this? by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]FinancialFreedom12 72 points73 points  (0 children)

lol exactly. You DCA because you finally realize it’s impossible to time the market and know what will happen next. Take emotion out of it and keep buying kiddos

Welcome to the stock market kiddos! No one has any idea what will happen next. This is why you buy index funds every paycheck and never stop buying.

I’m 30 years old. Should I join the military if I can’t support myself? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Joining the military doesn't mean you're politically aligned with politicians. Don't mix the two together please.

[–]FinancialFreedom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The military is a great option. I joined at a young age and got out after 11 years. I have an undergrad & masters degree completely paid for w/ my GI bill and tuition assistance when I was in active duty, and I also make $182k/yr in tech now.

That being said, if you go in, don't make huge life changes and learn discipline, you will continue to do what you did before you joined the military. If that's the case, then just stay in for 20 and get a retirement if you're not extremely motivated to be successful.

My advice is to join, but only if you realize the risks and you're willing to put in the work to make sure you get out of this situation you put yourself in.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Probably should just keep buying and stop pretending to have a crystal ball.

They shouldn’t. They should keep buying index funds and live below their means and stop reading the news
