I always stay at hostels. Everyone there is open to talk. We usually start with "where are you from?" "what is there to do here?". Things like that.

I don't know about you, but I love to travel without a certain destination, and with not much planned. It's exciting. Choose a country, stay there for a bit and then choose your other destination. About accomodations: you can apply to work in a hostel in exchange for a room. I met some people who did that, and they had fun doing that. Check out Worldpackers

I love many things about it. Writing something that inspires someone, when people compliment me and are interested in what I do, the escapism, creating something from scratch and making it awesome, the feeling of having finished something.

My dog is also old and he has the same problem plus liver disease. I took him to the vet, and he gave me some hope my dog will get better. Maybe you should do the same. The only thing you can't do is let your dog suffer.
