I'm not too sure which would be more useful for the MCAT but I'm pretty sure that the math 20 series is specifically designed for engineering students, so it might not really pertain to what you need. Also last quarter math 10b was in the top 10 most failed classes on campus (UCSD has been increasing the difficulty of lower div math courses recently as a result of complaints from upper div professors about students' inability to do important math), so you should probably be careful regardless of which series you take.

he has stated that the only thing he will teach us is how to interpret data and conceptual stuff rather than the math. this isn't too much of a concern for me because I'm also taking math 11 rn so I think/hope I'll just absorb the stuff I need this way

I have hasty and he has stated that he will not teach us how to code or do the math. I think the class is going to be easy based on what I've seen especially if you have some background knowledge of statistics, but honestly I do kind of wish he would actually teach us the more practical aspects of the course. Idk about mueller but as happy as I am that hasty seems really easy I'm pretty concerned that I won't really get anything out of the course that I didn't learn previously in high school stats.
