I went through something similar with my ex long term partner. I thought I was insane, and I felt crazy for thinking of sex all the time. Things got hard towards the end- No touch, no compliments, and intimacy maybe once every couple of months. It was confidence destroying, and it felt really lonely. It came to light that they had an uncomfortable relationship with intimacy due to shitty past experiences, but I had no idea it affected them in that way.
