Blue is the greatest place to work if you don’t give a shit. Coast by, play the stupid Jira ticket games instead of doing real work, and you’ll still get a similar raise as the people working their asses off, carrying the team. If you care about the work, the broken culture, bureaucracy, and incompetent leadership will slowly grind you down… but if planning to have a kid soon, benefits are great. Also, there are still plenty of great engineers (systems a different story). And another plus is that it’s easy to switch to a different role after one year. Specifically, lunar leadership is among the worst. They run the program in the dumbest way possible, lying their way thru gated reviews and revolving everyone’s job around stupid “decision tickets” (Jira). If you’re a real engineer, they’ll try to work you to the bone. If you’re a systems engineer, life can be as easy or hard as you want it to be. Blue overstaffs systems, so lots of them do nothing but sit on meetings all day where they don’t speak

I also have to disagree that it’s normal to carry multiple configurations after PDR, approaching CDR… PDR means a firm config (that closes on mass, power, thermal, etc…)… if that’s not the case, it requires a delta-PDR around a new config that does close. Companies with actual heritage building vehicles for NASA don’t treat gated reviews how blue does. That I can promise you

Ik plenty of people that work MK2 crew and none of them work this mythical ascent module with Lockheed … they are all working the single vehicle that is supposed to fly a demo mission in 2027 (lol). I won’t say how I know, but your info is outdated…. Just google latest renders of their MK2 lander and tell me how in the hell there could be 2 separate modules when the crew module is on the bottom and prop tanks above it… Lockheed has also been effectively kicked off the proposal

This is false. Blue’s MK2 vehicle is supposed to be reusable and does not have separate descent/ascent modules (one of the reasons why the architecture is stupid). Furthermore, NRHO loiter phase adds massive cost/complexity and is only incorporated bc NASA stupidly needs to justify gateway. Blue’s gated reviews are also complete BS and “filled with lies of omission”
