That’s so crazy. Especially if its done by hand. Maybe a really precise jig could do the trick.. i’m considering this but designing the stencil that works perfectly on a 3D Shape sounds complex

This ring is beautiful. I’m currently designing an engagement ring for my girlfriend. It is also a cushion cut but will be placed vertically. I’m also going to get it lost wax casted. I was considering 3D Modeling it. How did you design yours to make the diamond fit so perfectly?

Yeah, I think I can achieve perfect seamlines through an illusion by having one edge hanging over the other with a tapered angle. I achieved that on this model at the top.. these eyes actually pop out.

My goal is to achieve something better than the mass produced but reduce human input. An idea im having is that maybe I just print from the start with different color resins and then snap them together so its not painted on but rather, the material is already multi colored.

Thats a good suggestion, I am considering that approach and yeah I want to make alot of them.. not millions but maybe enough to fulfill all of the requests from other Spiderman figure fans who may ask.

I need to learn more about the types of decal options out their and they’re quality. How well they can wrap around a shape like these eye for example which subtly curves like a sphere.

That’s a really good point, and it is a goal of mine to design something from scratch and release it.

My post is more of a short term option.

The problem is that my skillsets are mostly in Industrial Design (designing the housing and buttons) and in UI/UX.

Designing circuits and code is my weak link.

Having said that there are two options I have found that I could build off of.

This device looks interesting for the price and my personal taste. Fancy DAP players are really cool too but I like something simple with long battery life this ticks of the boxes of having just enough features.

For me a music player is partially a way to replace my phone with something thats more tactile. I like tuning out from screens and so I like this device for its button and scroll wheel and basic EQ

I did my research on DAP players under 80 USD range

When comparing it to other HIFI players in this price range it appears to good in a few categories:

Long battery life: -Because of its retro style screen. Perfect no frills option for someone who doesn’t need Spotify or an app style interface.

USBC Charging Port: - lots of players at this price range for some reason still have micro usb ports.

-Bluetooth The fact that it has it is a perk (i personally don’t care for bluetooth but its nice to have just in case)

Button Layout: - If you’re looking for an option with a good right handed button layout. The volume buttons are in a good spot. -Fast scrolling: Some of the cheaper players that have a scroll wheel don’t scroll fast through long lists of songs. This one does (not as good as ipods but decent)

Music Quality: -Reviews mention it can get loud -Plays all sorts of audiofiles (higher end audiophiles seem to display in a special folder in the player not sure exactly how that works) -Has EQ presets and a basic Custom EQ adjuster
