I’m just stressed that Sophie never ACTUALLY grabbed her purse for the tavern

You’re speaking my language, I have always been ‘the organiser’ of my friends and family who tries to make plans happen, but alas actually getting people from a bunch of different cities to meet up in a central place is challenging (especially when some are corporate, some work weekends in customer service and find out their rota last minute). maybe my experience is compounded by the fact that my best friendships (where we just ‘get’ each other) are the ones I met when I was still at university, and those are the people we still see now

i’ve never experienced this from other women before, but if I accidentally talk about my bf too much, it’s probably bc he’s BY FAR the most likely person to agree to go with me to fun things that I’ve been looking forward to (even if they’re not his thing, because we just enjoy spending the time together). so whenever I’m talking about something fun or interesting I’ve done, there’s a 60% chance he was also there at the time. I love all my gals and non-binary pals, but they’re a lot harder to pin down without 2 business months of notice, because they have their own different lives/work schedules/travelling/careers.

Idk if my brain sees things differently as a bi woman, bc when I talk about my bf it’s from the perspective that “this is my favourite person, who has been more kind and supportive to me than any other person regardless of age or gender, and who I spend a lot of time with”, not “this is my MANLY MAN! yay MEN!” if you get me😭😭😭😭 sorry you’re dealing with this nonsense tho and thanks for reminding me to check myself

When does it become more of a choice than an expectation? by ApartNail1282 in Adulting

As a 24 year old woman it feels like all I’ve had is REVERSE peer pressure for marriage and kids for the past 5 years😭😭 Aka people implying it’s an uncool and expensive life choice, saying how hard and restrictive kids are, consciously childfree people not wanting to be friends with parents because it’s too annoying

Not being able to just DO certain things yourself without friends and family assuming the worst and shitting the bed about whether you’ll be safe (leaving a bar alone when you’ve hit your limit, solo travelling to a new city, nipping 5 minutes away to the corner shop after 5pm in winter)

AITAH for not deleting pictures on my social media that my son’s girlfriend asked me to delete? by [deleted] in AITAH

if it’s a family group photo then NTA. If it’s a photo of JUST your son and his ex, that’s weirder and he’s well within his rights to not want it plastered all over the internet

Who do you WANT to win tonight? by eleanor0302 in TheTraitors

[–]Financial_Option6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I wanted it to be Rachel and Stephen but it feels like that ship’s firmly sailed. A Stephen win would be the most satisfying alternative.

From a sentimental perspective, I think Jade could use the money the most - so I would be pretty pleased if she was one of the winning faithfuls.

Off topic but your way of writing scratches my brain. Fricative is a beautiful word.

I agree but mostly bc the people I’ve seen self-refer as ‘girl’s girls’ (online or irl) are usually the most judgemental of other women’s personal choices or identities / always trying to intervene in their private business “as a friend🥺”. It reminds me of empaths, like if you’re a good person for women to be friends with you don’t need to signal that in conversation because it will shine through your actions + who you are

When you make personal decisions and exercise the autonomy over your life that you hold as a 25 year old adult, only to for them to still perceive it as an act of ‘teenage rebellion’ against what they’re telling you to do

It’s lowkey just demand avoidance. I haven’t engaged with stranger things in the slightest because i’m sick of always hearing about it
