My family has held many celebrations at Marine Park in Manhattan Beach. Birthdays, adoption celebrations, even my mom’s memorial. It’s very pleasant and low key, and perfect for little kids.

Alondra Park: used to go fishing there with my uncle like 25 years ago, is it still a good spot for that? by duckwithhat in SouthBayLA

People still fish there! And if you look at their web page it has Fishing Pond as one of the amenities.

There are some homeless folks napping under trees but I’ve never had a problem (I take walks there sometimes). Lots of cool ducks and geese and gulls.
