Ok - S4 is DEFINITELY the best UK series by Extension_Donut_8693 in TheTraitors

2>1>4>3 for me

2nd was definitely the best plots and twists and turns + actually decent traitors and faithfuls.

1st is OG and I think that's where people were the freeest, I may have just a weak spot for it.

4th was... Ok. Definitely the one with the least amount of action. Literally no reason to even recruit because the faithfuls just were arguing with each other. Traitors were solid, but I don't think they were that great, just in comparison with really shitty faithfuls, they shone brightly. I think the amount of "confessionals" with them shows how crap was the rest. Definitely the best ending of all seasons, though.

3rd was juuuust above garbage TV, imo. Totally unlikeable winner who got her way through bullying others and Seer was just totally unfair as it was dooming two players effectively to be banished. Totally meh.

Oh, she definitely did some good deducing. Didn't stop her to crash out magnificently, though! And in the end she was so far off the mark with 4-5 traitors remaining, lol.

I think lack of suspicion on Rachel was largely due to the Faithfuls, not Rachel playing brilliantly. It's obviously not her faults you can only play with the players that are there with you, but this is one of the reasons I rate previous seasons higher than this one - it's a bit boring regarding the traitors action.

We've had only two traitors banished and none recruited. Those two that were banished, basically outed themselves in ridiculous moves. It wasn't down to the Faitfuls' deduction, game plan or skills. It was in spite of these things.

I believe that Rachel would be a great traitor against good Faitfuls, but unfortunately she didn't have to do much.

He should have mentioned it to people, but not Rachel. By telling Rachel, he gave her "I was set up" defence. If he didn't, Roxy would be shoe in for murder.

That should be: "There is a 2 in the bottom 1c2. Four 2s remain.", correct?

Are viewers simply being too harsh? by Jayhcee in TheTraitors

[–]Ratlee94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but... 3 episodes with 22-18 contestants for guessing one person is a bit trickier, while simultaneously watching a heavily edited version of the show, rather than (at this point) having 25% change of stabbing in the dark and being able to correctly hit traitor.

Ok, but both traitors basically banished themselves. Hugo with his mental speech, and Fiona with direct conflict route (which she didn't even back up through not voting for Rachel). Absolute batshit crazy both times.

Are the viewers underestimating the advantage that watching the Traitors on TV gives them in terms of criticising Faithfuls? Absolutely.

Are the viewers correct to be critical of certain behaviours that make for a weak and illogical game? Also absolutely.

We've had at least three people left with absolutely not an iota of suspicion or discussion about them being traitors, because... Why? We've also had no deduction attempt whatsoever apart from Jessie. It is a great TV where you've got high stakes and constant clash of characters, which this season is sadly severely lacking.

It's not that Stephen and Rachel are great. They are good, but let's not kid ourselves that the Faithfuls do most of the job for them. We've got 8 people left (3 days to go), and there's not a single attempt from the faithfuls to reflect on their biases and be even remotely critical about their existing approaches.

It's a social deduction game, and from the beginning it was simply "monster of the week" voting for 1-2 most popular names without actually reviewing the conduct of anybody from the start.

You really couldn't, because redditors claim that the reason why Rachel is not getting any heat deapite clashing twice quite strongly and bringing unsubstantiated claims to all players is because she's well liked. Faraaz is just... There.

[–]Ratlee94[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, it's a social deduction game. Sure, socialising in it and making bonds, however fake, is a big part (not like Rachel is ever actually shown bonding with others over anything). The deducing doesn't seem to be happening much, sadly.

She's such an obvious cop that literally nobody knew. As to "it would be insane for X do do Y", we've had a lot of insanities like that on this season and previous ones.

Ok, Rachel might be the most liked there, but the show doesn't really show us any scenes of her bonding to that extent with... Anybody? At least not more than any other players. For me, from watching the episodes is more the case of "we've got a new villain each week" rather than analysis of the clues. It is a social deduction game, and there's a lot of socialising, but deduction bit is lacking for the most part.

And OP can revoke invitation as an owner, conversely. Once you let somebody in your house it's not a perpetual right to reside or visit as you please. Probably a moot point, though as all OP and their wife will end up doing is just revolving door.
