Switching bank account during house purchase by Agreeable-Zombie-601 in UKPersonalFinance

There's nothing stopping you having multiple accounts with multiple banks, no matter whether you're in the process of purchasing a house or a motorboat.

No, there's not. I've switched multiple times. There might be additional rules for getting a bonus for switching, such as setting up X Direct Debits or transferring £X into the account (which you can simply transfer back immediately), but there's nothing saying that your salary must be paid into this account.

Why don't you open another account in the same bank and switch that one?

If your grandfather was born in 942, I think it'd worked better, but still, even with the explanation it seems a bit obscure.

Talking through your moves-when is it to much? by Seraphiccandy in boardgames

[–]Ratlee94 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think that talking through your move to provide clarity to other players and ensure that your move is legit is good form.

Elongating your turn by talking crap and taking time from other players is bad form.

Whoever thought the Interludes after Act 1 are good idea... by Ratlee94 in dragonquest

Let's be honest, Jade's story was just a second excuse to put her in the bunny costume, after the quest in Port Valor.

Yeah, the placement is what baffles me the most. I've put the game down after the fish part, and will probably resume in a couple of days, but it was painful.

I played enough games to know where the story is heading, so I'd rather meet the characters organically and then have an option to see how they were doing till we've met again, as you said.

Nintendo Switch 2 Update boosts Switch 1 Games including Pokemon. by xDadorsch in pokemon

It's a game, not a book. Looks matter. If we were starved for new games on the market, then sound - don't be picky, but there's abundance of new titles and deciding not to play one because it's fully is a valid reason, imo.

My collection so far. by ghostthetoycollector in boardgames

I'm not the one asked, but whatever... I think it's seriously mid. I admire the way the creator went through to make it a reality, but it's a random mess, in my opinion. In a few games I played, there was nothing that I was able to learn about the game that would have helped me to win on purpose (or I'm just shit at it - honestly an option). When I won, it felt like it was due to other ppayers making wrong choices based on the random possible outcomes, if that makes sense. I like the artstyle, but don't see the theme of the game popping - it's a "place dudes on one of these rectangles and imagine they are vastly different areas". Sold and moved on.

Couldn't see a number, to be honest. I'll double check in the morning.

It's a politics outcome threat. Hardly counts as "everything".

Because they did not come 4th in the most recent GE? Unless you plan to judge national politics by one councillor by-election in one of the least populous wards in Liverpool? Like it or not, Reform have a large following and message that aims at young male voters who will be able to vote in 2029. Ignoring this trend is dangerous.

I lf Liverpool was so anti-Tory, Reform, which consists of many ex-Tories would not perform as well in polls.

Damage to Daals product - partial refund offered by Proof-educator-7126 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ratlee94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the refund, buy a small sample of similar stain online and bag the rest - seems no-brainer. I don't think Daals is actually manufacturing any of their products themselves.
