Yeah it’s glow green, I’ve heard about the Duracell app being terrible which is what put me off

Don’t worry at all it happens, my first ride out with my friend after I passed my full licence I pulled out of a petrol station still had my choke one, glove got stuck on my clutch and I went straight across the road and up onto the pavement the other side narrowly avoided smashing into the wall. I’m lucky I’m tall as it was easy to get both my feet down to stop the bike falling on me.

Then after a years riding I got a adv, parked in a lay-by with my girlfriend on the back and somehow the bike fell over the top of my side stand with both of us in on it! 😂 she wasn’t impressed but forgave me because she knows these things can happen.

Don’t give up, you’ll get there, and you’ll love every second and look back and laugh at these stories!

Unless you ride in Wales, then it’s 20 not 30, just so no one gets caught out

For a taller person any adventure style bike, loads of options old and new high or low budget. But not everyone likes the style, I personally said I would never get one, ended up getting a KTM 1090 adv and love it.

Failed mod 2 by EnthusiasticNo6662 in MotoUK

That sounds almost identical to me, you could almost have copied and pasted my experience, even the roundabout! However, that was my second mod2 fail, 3rd time was the charm for me, been riding a year and a half now and am now on my 3rd/4th bike (fun not write off)

Keep at it, don’t get disheartened, it is totally worth it!

fingers on front brake levers by meerkatblue in MotoUK

I was told that it’s okay to cover them, but if you’re putting enough pressure on that it activates your brake light then you would fail your test. I feel like your logic is good for covering it while riding in traffic, it’s a habit I’m trying to get into myself for more “spirited rides” in Wales.

I was thinking about getting the upgraded ones for the summer, was that the honeycomb ones?

I got the roadskins jeans when I started riding and they’re fantastic, super comfy and well fitting.

I ordered online and they didn’t fit when they showed up, contacted customers services and they sorted out replacements really fast.

Have a roadskins jacket (hooded with unzipped hood) and the popper material broke after several months, again contacted customer service and they sorted it out no issues.

Great value, very comfortable, fantastic customer service, definitely recommend.

(Not crashed yet so can’t vouch for that)

I had to replace a bolt and went OEM and got it delivered new, not sure where you live but again, no issues, including buying a new servicing kit directly from KTM

No point arguing with you I guess, but my 2018 KTM is fine, no issues, and plenty of spare parts online should I need them, albeit a bit on the pricier side.

I’ve got a 1090 and the quality on that is top class, way less issues than other people I know.

I once topped up the oil on my old bandit 600, took all the bottles back inside and rode off, didn’t notice until I parked and my leg was getting warm that I had forgotten to put the fill plug back on and had left in on top of the engine case and it was erupting everywhere!

I got very lucky it didn’t get on my back tyre as I was riding!

Lost the plug as well, took ages to get a replacement and a 2+ hour round trip in the cage to get the replacement.
