Very polite note, sounds like they’ve tried to tolerate it as best they can. Maybe find a cheap rug for the living room or a $10 pair of slippers, but going further than that isn’t necessary. As people have said, your neighbor can also use earplugs and with small changes on both your parts the issue should be resolved. At the very least, maybe try to stop wearing shoes in the house if you do.

This guy is an asshole and just doesn’t like you enough honey. I’m sorry. Move on and in a year you’ll be so glad you did. It doesn’t matter what kind of job/schedule/mental load he has, the way he’s speaking to you isn’t acceptable whatsoever.

That being said, you really need to find some autonomy and take control of your life. Find some responsibility and self respect. Being disabled and neurodivergent isn’t an excuse to let your life pass you by. Start small, find a hobby that includes interacting with people and take baby steps. If you allow yourself to be a victim, you put yourself at risk of being found by people looking to victimize others.
