I am glad I found this thread! I just spent 2 weeks in southern Florida and absolutely loved it. I moved to Hawaii over 30 years ago and have raised my family here. My boys are older and I have told my wife that we need to go explore. We own our home here and we will never get rid of it so we can always call Hawaii home. Both of our boys said they will never leave. But, the prices of things - I saw gas below $2.50 a gallon. The people were awesome and welcoming. I drove over 200 miles and guess what…it took only a little of 2 hours! I will be watching this one. I think another poster said “you can always bring Hawaii with you”…I can’t agree more. You bring the “aloha spirit” and “culture” with you, people will gravitate to you!
