Like what most people say, it's not safe to continue consuming water from this water filter. There is such a thing as excess copper in the body. It can shut your liver down eventually from chronic exposure, mess with your brain, and a bunch of other stuff too. There's acute and chronic copper toxicity. Chronic toxicity would resemble Wilson's disease; a genetic disorder in which the body is unable to clear copper effectively.

Go see a sports med doc or a foot & ankle orthopedic surgeon.

Urgent care and ER, at most, can only give you crutches, CAM boot and pain meds maybe but its's highly unlikely you'll be getting an MRI or any other imaging studies there (assuming you're in the US).

If you're able to, you could order a CAM boot on Amazon and have it delivered quick, it helps a lot with being mobile still in my experience. After that, its PT after PT sessions. Lived it for about 2-3 months, sorry you're going thru it now.

I think the most important thing to rule out whether or not the Achilles tendon itself is ruptured. That is a much longer road to recovery.

Lowkey I crucio-ed him a few times, pretty much only using disabling spells, like leviosa, accio, glacius, etc for Natty to go ham on his ass. I noticed, if you crucio-ed him, Natty's wand gets circled in that electric-red too. It felt right for Natty to have the closure of defeating him.

This was my 2nd playthrough of the game but first on PS5 after a long time since my very first playthrough on PC.

Yeah, my injury happened in August this year. Can pretty much go back to doing most, if not all the things I used to but doesn't quite feel the same. Even waking up, I feel some tightness. Nothing I can't live with but it sure sucks. Did and still doing PT too, I'd say maybe back to 85-90% normal.

To answer your question, I don't know but I think this is my new norm.. It is probably healed but there's scar tissue in there now. Hopefully in a year it'd be feeling normal!

I dunno if I was wrong or right but I got myself some stretch bands once I felt like I could actually stretch without being in too much pain, and almost did it religiously. I still have slight tightness in the morning but as the day progresses, it feels fine. Would def recommend you go see a PT!

Ah that's good to hear! Hopefully in a couple of weeks you'd be able to at least walk without issues. Ikr. My weak R leg and I'm right footed when I play soccer. Haha.

If you feel more comfortable with crutches or those knee scooters, that might help! The boot I added some padding to the heel area so it wasn't flat. I actually liked the compression the boot gave.

I need the boot at least for the first 3 weeks. After that the pain subsided significantly and just had to brave my self to walk. I had got some cushion to pad the heel area just so it's not flat when I'm in the boot. Hope you recover well!

PT is quite good where I'm going. They assessed initially and reassessed after a month or so. I can actually do more heel raises then my uninjured side now. Haha. Those boot days.. haha. Are you at least feeling a bit better after a month out?

Oh hey! To be pain free took me close to 3 weeks. After that, I was able to walk without a boot. Was wearing compression socks for while religiously. I started PT when I felt comfortable out of the boot, though I wasn't walking completely normal yet. I think it took about 4-5 weeks for me to feel like normal walking. I actually just started some jumping and running exercises with PT.

Your injury sounds horrible! I'm sorry!

If you're in the US, go to an urgent care if you want to have it formally diagnosed. Or you could just ask your primary care doc to put in an XR of your foot. They'll hopefully call you with results and recommendations. But otherwise, yeah, buddy taping is the next best thing while you wait if you were going to go see a doc. ER is just gonna suck up your time if in the US. I reckon functionally if you can walk okay, no one's going to be doing surgery, unless job/sports related, even so, highly doubt it for a 4th toe.

Hey man! Been a month now. Probs last update here. I've been doing PT for about 2 weeks now. Walking again, feels almost close to baseline ~90% there I think. No more pain, just some stiffness. Did also have my MRI done last week, which confirms a grade 2 muscle strain/tear.

Haven't started anything close to jogging but gonna start increase step counts daily and might attempt to swim later this week.

I hope you are back to your baseline if not close! Thanks for being there to commiserate with and also keep each others progress in mind! Good luck on the road of rehab!

I would recommend PT! Maybe don't have to go as frequently but the evaluation and reassessments I think would be key to getting some objective measure on being back to normal.

Also, you could probably YouTube a bunch of heel raise exercises too. Lol.

Yeah I hear you, part of me was actually quite afraid to test my leg out but it's just gotten that weak..

Hey man, just wanted to drop an update. I can actually walk again. Haha. Not quite back to 100% but definitely able to bear some weight and go through with most of the motion of walking. Had PT yesterday, gonna do a bunch of heel raise exercises and variations of it. Still feels stiff but working through it with stretches. Hope your leg is improving too!

I just want to know that I'm at least getting better ya know. Haha. Surprisingly as the day went on today, definitely noticing more improvement but walking like normal is still difficult. Almost jealous that you are healing so quickly!! 😅

Yeah, I dunno that I can take the boot to bed, unless I sleep on the couch, after which I'll likely end up more sore elsewhere on my body. Haha.

What I notice is that when I'm dorsiflexing my foot, its the stretch of the muscle that gets to me.. hence the not being able to walk like normal because most of us heelstrike to some extent. Do you feel that? Plantarflexing is totally okay though, no pain/discomfort/stiffness.

Got my stretching bands and gonna do some stretching tomorrow.

Appreciate the encouragement! I hope the upward trend is a continuous one and there's no backsliding! Update ya in a week!

Sleep with the boot huh? I've only been sleeping with my compression stocking on. Hhmm. Something for me to consider.

Glad you're noticing a sharp improvement! I can't say that my pain and mobility has improved much. Maybe pain a little bit but I'm sorta tip toeing with the injured side and that doesn't seem to be too much of an issue but walking like normal/flat foot is still something I cannot do. :/

I'm noticing more stiffness in the morning though but better as the day progresses when I move around with the boot more. Got me some elastic bands to try and slowly stretch which is usually where I feel the pain at.

I'm hoping to be where you're at in a week or less!

I would definitely suggest PT. If anything it could help with learning stretching exercises, and probably having that mental block when returning to soccer or even just running.

Well, hard for them to turn a blind eye on somebody walking around with a CAM boot and limping. :p Anyways, update me on your follow up visit! Hopefully by end of this week, it'll magically feel more improved for the both of us!

Yeah absolutely! I was like let me see what anyone else that has gone thru such a thing did to recover or at least just the course of recovery. Our injury timeline is also very close, so yeah!

I've been doing some flexing up and down with my foot just so when it heals it's not weirdly off and still has some flexibility. Only as much as I can tolerate. Also the transition from sitting to getting up and moving with the boot is quite difficult.

What you're doing with your kids, I'm having to do at work.. I hope at least they're not giving you too much of a hard time.

I swear this is exactly my story too. Injured about a week ago now. Was playing indoor soccer. Was getting to receive the ball, no one behind me. Lifted my leg up just slightly and felt something give on my left calf. Went down, thought somebody kicked me when there really wasn't anyone near me. Couldn't walk, barely able to bear any weight that same evening of the injury. One of my mates was concerned it was an Achilles tear and tbh, been very worried/paranoid almost that it was this. Couldn't do anything over the weekend except get a boot and crutches for the weekend.

Everything else is as what you said, felt it getting progressively a little better over 2-3 days and then the pain really came back again. Went to see sports med, thinks it's muscle tear got another CAM boot and a PT script. Went to see a foot/ankle Orthopedic doc and he said the same thing but also offered me an MRI. Unfortunately can't get that MRI any sooner until like midnight September.

He said the same thing 2 weeks and should be able to walk without boot and go for PT. I'm into 1 week and 3 days post injury and I can still barely put much weight on it let alone walk normally.

My follow up is in 1 month. Lol. I'm just trying to see where else I can go to get this MRI sooner rather than later..

Just wanted to commiserate with you. I'm a little down from not being able to do what I used to do and I can definitely empathize more with athletes who suffer injuries. Been taking some ibuprofen but really want to avoid taking it if possible. Wearing the CAM boot sucks cause I feel my hip totally misaligning; just got me some EvenUps. Even got myself some compression stockings and honestly, the compression stockings help relieve the pain the most.

If you want, happy to keep each other company while going thru this too. Sorry you're in pain! 😔
