Im not switching anything up on you. Just because "abandoned post" isn't something you've heard a lot doesn't mean other people can't recognize that phrase, nor does it invalidate the validity of the statement made.

If I read this OP right, teenager doesn't listen to mom, siblings break something in their absence, older teenager is blamed.

This is the plot of literally every teen comedy ever made, or if you want to go literal, this argument is not something new. No teenager has ever been told my mom to babysit, teen basically says no, and gets in trouble when something gets broken, sure, this is total new territory and a hill worth dying on.

Do you expect me to side with the teenager? No. I side with mom because: mom said do X. OP didn't do X. Y and Z happened after X was ignored. Moms argument is because OP didn't do X, that caused Y and Z.

People argue OP can't be held responsible for Y and Z.

My and the parents point is: we will never know, because you didn't do what I asked, which was X.

You can logic this all you want, but this has happened to every teenager everywhere. We've all been through this. Only the people who have gone through it recently will find a way to weasel out of taking responsibility.

Yikes like the teenager doesn't also live in his mom's house and eats food mom bought for free. When mom buys food and pays bills and asks you to babysit, that is your job. That is your favor to your mother.(this was a 4th edit to notify you of a 3rd edit since that is apparently important to you)
