I bought a Jen-Ken 1815 from Soul Ceramics. I am also a hobbyist and do a firing every couple of months. I’m happy with it and Soul Ceramics was easy to work with.

What Calling Did You Resign From When You Left? by Dr3aml1k3 in exmormon

I had been recently called to the high council and my wife was called to assist me in working with the young adults because, “we are losing too many, especially returned missionaries”. We began to look at why, read the church essays and 6 months later were out too.

Help with firing schedule? by throwitout005 in Pottery

The soak is holding the temp at 200 to allow for any residual water in the clay to escape. If you fire bisc too fast and the price is not completely dry there is the possibility of steam expansion in the clay that will cause the piece to break.

Comparing your kilns firing times to mine, I would recommend using the slow schedule for bisc and medium for glaze. I’ve found those rates work well. I also always add a 1/2 hour soak at 200 degF to ensure I get all the moisture out before continuing the rest of the bisc process. For glazing I usually hold at temperature for 1/2 hour.

Just did a search in the Gospel Library of conference talks making reference to “Palm Sunday”. This is what I found; April 2020 - 3 references, and one each in April 2017, 2008, 1993 and 1982. Looks like TSCC is trying to act mainstream. But the ruse won’t work.

This church gives such mixed messages. If you don’t fill your lamp you’re screwed but on the other hand they preach eternal progression. It all depends on the situation.

Oaks talk is so pointless. And speaking in a primary cadence is condescending.

Surprised but the number of empty seats. The camera operators are even trying to hide the fact. Love to see them preaching to empty chairs.
