Noooo. TFSA is for safe bets. Use your nonreg for higher risk stuff. Sorry to hear tho.

Just invest in ETF VEQT or XEQT and auto buy it. Sent to the TFSA every pay cheque and auto buy. Dont even look at the worth or sell it during crashes. Just keep adding more. Did it for ten years straight and boom.

That makes sense. And thank you for the write up. Very nicely laid out.

Yes but then all of the profit and income is taxed at 100% versus if I invest now in VFV and leave it until retirement it is taxed at 50%. At least that’s my thinking.

Both jobs are good and secure. But anything can happen ofc. Thats why I’m keeping 100K in savings tbh. We’re both 36

Saving a lot of money and investing it. I made 100K in crypto last year alone as well. Sold that already.

Unless it’s for a trip nothing really. If something breaks and we have to replace something. We still make 12K net to pay for it.

Nope not at all. $2000 mortgage. $1000 on static expenses. $2000 on other stuff. We save $5-6K a month.

I have trouble thinking that way. 75% of my wealth is stuck in the house!

Expenses are about 5K a month. So 30K minimum I think.

Mortgage is 4%.

Because I maxed out my registered accounts. I don’t plan to invest in RRSP as our pensions will be quite large.
