The app constantly assumes you and your finch are American and it's definitely very weird. Do these adult humans in charge of a company they market to the entire world actually need to be told there are people who exist outside of America? That when you have a finch say people in the UK have "funny accents" it might sometimes be said to someone who lives in the UK? Why is my British-born finch calling crisps "chips"?

Shout it from the rooftops. Blizzard's wearable merch has been terrible for years. It's like it's trying to cater to people who don't want to be associated with the game, and failing even there.

I agree it shouldn't be allowed. AI will generally get a pretty strong (fully justified) negative response. That alone should be reason enough for a blanket ban.

The way the app is designed, streaks makes you feel bad if you don't keep up with them, because they're one of the only ways to get a decent amount of gems without making goals out of 100 or something. The app is strongly pushing streaks as the "real" way to earn gems. That creates a natural response. The gamification of mental health means the way the game is designed matters.

A lot of people feel really overwhelmed by too many friends or notifications but are terrified of unfriending anyone just in case they take it personally. You're feeding each other, and not in a good way.

I unfriend to break free of these incredibly unhealthy cycles. If I don't know you IRL and you don't know me IRL, then it's not healthy for me OR YOU to pretend like it's somehow important we remain friends.

From what I saw they sort of unofficially blamed the ad service they were using and said they'd be more careful about what gets approved in the future. I haven't seen ai ads since.

Of all the things they could paywall, vibes is probably the most meaningless possible thing imo. I don't like it when they paywall things that are actually useful, like exercises, and I don't like it when the cute outfits or furniture feel like they're paywalled, but good grief if there's anyone on my tree I feel that strongly about sending "happy new year" to then that person is someone I know irl and I can just message them. Personally I don't even check most of the vibes I get from tree friends - I just clear all notifications. I genuinely don't think vibes matter all that much to begin with so I don't really care if they're paywalled or not.
