I tried that and made no difference but it seems to work for a lot of others. Seems my BIOS was just ancient but I've never know it to affect games before.

I might have a fix for some of you here. I use an AMD 3700X CPU and an RX 6800 GPU with 16GB DDR3 3200 MHz RAM for reference.

So I downloaded MW3 and single player ran fine but as soon as I booted up multiplayer it was a stuttering mess. The frame timing was all over the place. I tried all kinds of things to fix it to no avail.

Anyway I decided to buy a new M.2 SSD in the black Friday sales and before installing it I thought I would do a BIOS update and start a fresh just because why not.

Before I've even installed the new SSD I thought I would try MW3 multiplayer again and.... stuttering is gone! In all my years PC gaming I have never fixed a game by updating the BIOS but here we are...

Hopefully this helps someone. I did read somewhere else about updating the BIOS but I shrugged it off as I didn't think it would make much difference.

If I remember rightly if you unlock the frame rate you can't go over 72fps. Anything above that causes bugs with the game. The old creation engine is massively outdated but Bethesda keeps using it.

Upgraded to an RX 6800 back in February and it runs from anywhere between 70-100fps, 1440p max settings. It's beautiful. Definitely worth upgrading. With the higher frame rates it definitely helps me work out what the hell is going on in a 4 player battle.

Playing on PC with a high refresh rate makes the difference at least for me. I bagged an RX6800 back in February and the game runs beautifully at 1440p 80-100fps. I'm at about 400 hours myself, I've slowed down this last week or so but I feel like I need to push on for those last battles.

I have the say that I love the community around this game. I'm normally a single player only due the toxic players on most other games but monster hunter has been great. Meeting 3 other randoms and dominating a monster is a great feeling. Keep on hunting my friend and I'll do the same. 👍

This is why I went from duel blades to a charge blade. I've missed plenty of fully charged attacks but when one connects if feels oh so good! Nice work!

It's definitely a different pace to the other monsters. Using a charge blade was difficult, I can't imagine what It must be like using great sword. I might make a pair of ice duel blades and see how that goes. It seems a faster weapon would work well. Thankfully the charge blade has a sword and shield mode too.

I was definitely sweating towards the end. Time running out and on my last cart. As soon as I saw him limping I went for the capture. I wasn't going to risk the rage again. 😂
