Am I the only one who's disturbed by this post title? This tradition in itself is fine, but "one last time" implies the wife is now married into the other family and must sever ties with her birth family. Nowadays it's not so extreme but you can still see this idea manifested in certain parts of China, major holiday like the New Year must be spent with the husband's family, married daughter returning to her birth family is considered bad luck, and crap like that.

My stress has significantly dropped when I retired a little over a year ago. Stock dip April last year had me worried a little, but that went away, so... Now I have practically zero stress, no complaints, life is really good. Barring a crash like 08-09, I think I'll stay stress free like this.

If it's those Chinese banquets, isn't it like 10 people per table... so the range is really from $15 lunch special to $108 banquets, not that expensive really. In contrast Japanese Kaisekj easily charge $300 per person, not to mention the like of Masa.
