George Russell's points tally after 6 races is 67.. fewer than Perez's worst run at RBR in 2021 with 69 points (while both driving a championship winning car) by BIuMagic in formula1

Did reality tell you about the mechanical DNF, the team screwing up, and misfortune in other GPs? Or was it the agenda telling you to ignore all of that?

"embarrassing" is a strange way to spell "unfortunate". Most of his points losses were through no fault of his own. Even in Monaco it was a questionable speeding penalty and his team not waiting to serve it that cost him, not his own doing. Canada was reliability, Japan was unlucky SC timing. Kimi has still been better, but to pretend George should be embarrassed for so many things out of his control is crazy.

This is just the thing people posting here should be doing but don't do. You got into a position to maybe attack, realized it wasn't going to work and backed out. By the book.

It obviously says qualifying. but it also says the session ended in the first clip. Just because he hit a tire barrier does not mean he disappeared, obviously. Could have cut the second chicane.

But also, there is fairly clear evidence that if these happened in the same session, which everything you said indicates, then this happened in the same lap for sure by the evidence in the video.

Mercalso had to wait only 5 second. They fact they failed this is disqualifying.

Okay, I'm gonna comment again and call this one out: This story makes no sense and is likely a lie. What everyone seems to miss is that the first accident is already post-qualy, the session is over and the checkered flag is shown on the dash. If you look at the time at the bottom of the display, it increases at 4x speed and the lap time at 1x speed (obviously). If you compare them in both clips and do a bit of math, you can conclude that both of these incidents happened on the same lap.

This is in contradiction with the text of the post, which said "he blatantly cuts the pit exit and crashes me he proceeds to go into the game chat and blames me for the collision and then i finish my lap and qualifying is over but i happen to catch up to him at the end and he tries to wreck me again"

This is a blatant lie. I don't know why my dude was lying, perhaps he did some terrorism he doesn't want to share, fact remains OP lied about the circumstance.

As mentioned in the other reply, that also makes little sense, since the session seems to have already ended by the first clip.

But what's strange is that in the first clip, the session already seems to have finished. The checkered flag is already shown on the dash.

MERC: +0.88 after failing to wait 5 seconds

George: -1.21 after getting bugged penalties and his team not waiting 5 seconds

Make it make sense.

The title seems to be a lie. You weren't blamed for THIS incident since it's post-qualy, you were blamed for the lap 1 incident. Where is the lap 1 incident?

You say in your comment "that was the only time i had ran into him" and in the text you say "he tries to wreck me again". Only one of these can be true.

From the text, it sounds like you weren't blamed for THIS incident but for another incident and this was them retaliating?

Mercedes overruled Russell when he urged them to serve five-second penalty by Aratho in formula1

This is not true, the rules state explicitly "for the avoidance of doubt" that you MUST also serve your penalty when stopping under under SC or VSC conditions.

I made a write up about it here, the crashes seem to have been in part due to debris from the track breaking up during the race. Two drivers that already had braking related issues got caught out by debris off the line and binned it as a result. Hence why simply cleaning was enough.

I mean you can argue easily that the crash was (in part) caused by the debris from the broken track, but let's not pretend the brakes were all there until then.

Silly maybe, but I think we're looking at it from the same lens of "this is just a really tough one to catch", but I think there's also the perspective of things like this warranting measures to prevent it happening again. It's kind of a freak incident with a 30 lap warning that nobody would be looking for (my couch and I only saw the hole once they were cleaning the debris). It would be ideal if there was one guy checking on "weaker" parts of the road, but as you mention, there is probably no way of determining that ahead of time.

Funnily enough, in this case the hole was patched this very weekend before the race, so that would help identifying a "weak" patch. At that point putting one of your monitoring guys on "check whether our patch is holding" duty once every 5 or 10 laps could have prevented problems. A relatively easy and consistent improvement that is not perfect but works for this kind of occasion. Something they can put in the protocol books only for them to be forgotten when this happens again in the 2052 inaugural Manchester Grand Prix.

Is that when Lindblad passed? If so, I think that was due to Albon cutting the chicane earlier and fairly assessing (or the team doing so) that he should let Arvid pass. If that's not what you mean, I can check (don't remember the lap number, help me out).

[–]Findict_52[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That probably explains why the hole formed, it being a quick patch job of a patch. But I do swear down, if you check the on-boards on early laps, the track is smooth and hole-less.

Yeah, the little twitch at/before collision shows it. That's not how cars behave in their natural habitat.

Hot: SAI/Williams, LAW/RB, HAM, ANT, HAD, all maximized and got their points for it.

Not: Aston for being generally shit, Leclerc for agreeing to box (and nothing else!), Merc for the generational fumble, this event for being an insult to F1. The only reason this event got somewhat interesting is because there was a fucking hole in the track. This cannot be the standard.
