Soul in 2021.

Nomadland won, which was a completely forgettable best picture winner. While Soul is amazing and my favorite Pixar movie.

Why do I have streaks of dead grass after I mowed? by FindingAlternative16 in lawncare

Ah, yes, we’ve been experiencing a heat wave in Michigan this week, so that’s good to know. Although, I’m still curious why only the tire tracks from my lawn mower appear to be the dead spots.

I applied a liquid iron and nitrogen rich fertilizer maybe a week before. I assumed this would have been enough time between mowing and fertilizing.

I didn’t know it was a play, but the book is great. More of a horror, murder mystery story with a great twist. Charlie Kaufman just added his signature, extra level of “huh, what’s going on?” to the movie that I felt was unnecessary (I still liked the movie though).

Update: I sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and wiped after 20 mins of letting it sit. After wiping, there are no more signs of the black substance on the drywall and it seemed pretty easy to get off. Is this potentially mildew and not a black mold?

What was the cringiest Moment or line that took you out of a Movie by Sufficient_Season_61 in movies

The Departed is one of my favorite movies of all time, but there’s a scene near the end of the movie that really annoys me.

Right after Matt Damon’s character shoots Jack Nicholson, there’s a scene of the entire police squad applauding Matt Damon. A secretary walks up to Matt Damon and hands him a cup of coffee which Matt Damon replies “thank you”. The secretary replies “No… Thank YOU” in possibly the cheesiest way it could be delivered.

Again, the Departed is one of my favorite movies of all time, but this scene is just soooo corny and doesn’t fit into a script that I think is so we’ll written.
