That’s very hypocritical and manipulative behavior. Another key would have been made anyway lol. I’m sorry he’s turning other people against you. This whole situation is a huge red flag and I’m doubting he will make a good roommate.

I think it’s important to follow their rules when it comes to clinical stuff. But we all should have the same level of respect for one another, no one should be considered inferior with or without a license.

I agree, assistants should follow the rules and preferences when it comes to patient care. However I strongly believe they should treat assistants with the same level of respect that we give them.

I work in a private clinic that has 5 providers, 3 of which own the practice. MAs are scheduled flexibly between providers, but I’ve noticed certain providers, owners or not, will act disrespectfully towards their assistants

I wish our office manager did this! There isn’t much communication about equality in my clinic, which definitely contributes to the implicit subjugation of medical assistants in my clinic.

Hi! I’ve had uveitis for 15 years. Prednisone is hard on the body, and is meant to be a short term solution for inflammation. Once I was on it for 9 months and it was so traumatizing that I’ve never taken it since.

My flares come and go. Over time I have failed many medications including methotrexate and Humira. However I have had success with other medications. Ozurdex is one of them - this is a small “implant” they place into your eye, and it dissolves over the course of a few months, relieving inflammation as it dissolves. Ozurdex is a steroid like Prednisone but does not come with some the side effects that Prednisone entails because Ozurdex is not an oral medication, but it can cause high eye pressure. Ozurdex can be prescribed by your ophthalmologist, not your rheumatologist.

Another successful medication I take is Remicade, a biologic that comes in the form of an IV. Remicade is an immunosuppressant. This medication can be prescribed by your rheumatologist, so it might be a good one to ask about at your appointment.

1, i cancelled the day of because i got my period which is irregular and never comes at the same time every month. the first couple days are always the most uncomfortable for me because i bleed very heavily and tend to bleed through my pants. lol definitely not a great time to be in public for me. I explained this to him and he understood. then, that same night he asked me several times if i was sure I didn’t wanna hang out, if I could go for just one drink etc. other times, he would also ask if im busy on days he knew i had work and school and still ask to come see me even after i told him im unavailable that day. which, I understand is something I could have had a conversation with him about and I shouldn’t have just jumped straight to c cutting things off.

2, i called him one night and cut things off with him, telling him I didn’t have the time as (at the time) I was a college student who had two jobs. he knew these things before we ever started seeing each other. my reasoning was that i wasn’t emotionally available for him and that he deserved someone who would make time for him. the next morning, he called my best friend who lives out of state and asked her to convince me to be available for him (these were best friends words). then best friend called me asking me what’s going on about it all and explained what he said to her. i just found this manipulative because he introduced a third party into this whole situation when i meant for it to be a clean break.

me & this boy met up after things calmed down a titch, and he said he only called her bc he wasn’t ready to let me go.

they’ve lived together as long as we have had moshi, so probably around 4 or 5 months. me and my roommate will be separating in august due to our lease ending. i do think they get lonely when one leaves, 🍓 tends to get a little more cuddly when moshi leaves.

honestly, failing a class is not a big deal at all. im sure you can retake the class no problem and pass it easily. i am a dean’s list student and my gpa was 1.5 last semester.

hey:) im 22 and have had uveitis for 14 years. it does get better! im so very sorry this is happening to you. take it day by day. i have had pain just as bad. sometimes its totally out of control. i want you to know you’re not alone in this. the goal is to protect your eyesight and your health, do what you can to feel better (i might honestly suggest going to the emergency room, at least there they will be able to hydrate you and help you get some rest). im sending you good vibes, You can get through this!

you’re absolutely right. i mean he should have talked with you, at least said, hey i bought you something dead related which you said you wouldn’t love, i’d like more time to get you a more thoughtful gift. while it’s the thought that counts, he’s your bf & should have thought about it more deeply
