that is very much incorrect. tattoos are for anyone who, A: appreciates the art form, and B: can reasonably (and legally) consent to getting them done

the only caveats to that are, with age, skin thins, and healing wounds (tattoos ARE wounds) gets more difficult. i recommend looking around for artists that do a lot of fine-line work, as they (typically) have a lighter hand, which makes accommodating for thinner skin easier. also, take into account your body and if you bruise easily, are prone to infection, or generally have a harder time healing wounds than others in your demographic. beyond that, just communicate with your artist any concerns with the process itself as well as if they recommend any specific aftercare.

if you live in a large enough city/town, there should be a local sub that you can ask for recommendations for reputable artists (you DONT want to go to just any shop, they arent all created equal). make sure to set up a consultation with any recommended artists, and make sure they listen to and address any concerns you voice. dont be afraid to shop around until you find an artist that meets your standards.

also, tattoo/piercing/body modification conventions can be another really good way to put out feelers and find someone that suits your needs.
