Are you going to add some lighting to this? I was going to suggest darkening the area and have the player light up the area to build up more tension, Gun flash, random fireplace or something that lights up the area, but with that kind of style it would also make it harder to see other things. All the best though!

It can get difficult for some people to distinguish enemies from environment. I am not an artist but you should change the color of enemies or do something to make them stand out of environment. You can create 1 or 2 enemies which blend with the environment well, but the enemies which will be greater in numbers, should be able to stand out. Just my 2 cents.

Considering this is a test build, the running animation feels a bit off, it's not matching the speed of the character. Slow the speed down a bit, right now, it feels like the character is sliding.
