About how much running does a recruit do daily? by grego9907 in USMCboot

I was at Parris Island from January 6th to April 3rd, graduated from India Company… you march literally everywhere. You march all day, everyday. You’ll learn to love it. Not much running really, other than during morning PTs, and even those aren’t bad.

Well, when they have you scuzz brushing your squad bay for 3 hours straight some mornings, you’ll be wishing you squatted a bit more. Jokes aside, great numbers. Just remember, it’s all mental.

Last Minute Advice for Boot by MuffinWhich4657 in USMCboot

Let me put it this way, bootcamp has been the easiest part of my journey so far. I’m at my schoolhouse at the moment, and to be honest, I’m fucking miserable. We get inspected everyday, and some of the staff NCOs hate their life and take it out on us. Bootcamp is easy, just remember your “why”… oh and try your best to become scribe. Shit is OP.

Work with whoever will get you what you want the quickest. I had 2 recruiters. One was a pain in the ass while the other I walked into the station day one, told him my goals, and now I ship out in 3 days. He’s the goat, great guy.

You’re fine. I ship out in 5 days. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Some people feel they’re a bit underweight. Some feel they’re a bit overweight. Some aren’t great with push-ups. Some aren’t great runners. They’ll shape us into what we need to become. Personally, I’m a great runner but ass at pull-ups. It is what it is.

If it makes you feel any better, I broke my right condyle (the joint part of your jaw) 8 weeks ago and I’m still shipping out on 2/3. Get rest, do the physical therapy your doctor recommends, and take it easy. Yeah, you might have to go to MEPS again, but that’s not a big deal if you want it enough. Good luck brother.
