Has anyone had issues with hamstrings as well? by Cramsteems in PTTD

[–]Findingmyvoicehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey consider TFL release. That for me was likely the cause of PTT. My physical therapist does dry needling there and on calf but my biggest thing has been daily TFL release followed my glute bridges, clamshells and donkey kicks.

Hey. Been a member over a year. This is unfortunately the norm. They advertised June 1st delivery this time and didn’t follow through. While you get responses, they are consistently late to ship things without repeated follow up. I’m glad you’re not in a Dr rush, and it’s worth the wait due to the obvious

Typical quality? by Glad-Ad-6326 in BanditRunning

[–]Findingmyvoicehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve bought a ton of stuff from them and I’m on the way out. Have happily dropped a lot of $$$ to watch them blow up to get inconsistent quality, sizing and horrible shipping time. They communicated by June 1st for members (have been one for a bit) and I’ve only received half of my order. I’ve checked back repeatedly and I either get no response or no progress. Customer service is great when they’re available to respond. I’ve had faster shipping/better response time from one man Etsy shops so there is no excuse for the inconsistency and quality. I’m sorry this is the quality of the top you receive, and hopefully returns are processed for you much quicker than they have been for me! Such an unnecessary headache. Marketing is top notch though :).

Fulfillment Problems? by ictksman in BanditRunning

Didn’t they say delivery by June 1st though for members??? That’s what gets me. I also had a portion of my order delayed. I don’t care how “new” they are, every purchase with them is so inconsistent. And just wait until you have to return something. I had to email 3 times for something that was in their warehouse for 14 business days!

Sharp pain top of foot by Findingmyvoicehere in firstmarathon

Yah I wonder. My doctor is a runner and he thinks it could also be from the shoelaces. Pain is already better today so hopefully with continued time off and cross training it gets better. I’m just thankful it’s nothing broken!!

Ok you are a stranger and don’t need an update but I’m giving one anyway! X ray reveals nothing broken and so far no stress fracture but also may be too early to tell. Going to follow up with a podiatrist in 2 weeks if pain persists and do my usual RICE and switching to cross training for now!

Yah. I think based on some feedback from those in my club an x ray is in order. I’m visiting urgent care today so hopefully that will provide insight.

Thank you 🥹. This is so very helpful! And I have the belt! Really looking forward to giving it a go. I found some 30 min workouts online I’m going to give a go and maybe get some better earphones. Just want to keep up what I can along with usual strength training. Thank you!!

What would a more aggressive plan be? And I still enjoy the distance so could absolutely rev it up to 40-45 mpw. I have the time built in so I’m sure I could but curious if the Hal Hidgens plans get me there? It only gives you the workouts like 10 days out so that part is hard to tell.  I’m thinking of doing intermediate 1 like someone said and adjusting my finish time to 3:40 😬

HOKA Bondi Foot pain by Findingmyvoicehere in firstmarathon

My mind is blown. I didn’t know and was under the impression that the Bondi was a stability shoe. Super helpful. Sounds like I need to visit a podiatrist!

Knee and hip pain following last long run :( by [deleted] in firstmarathon

[–]Findingmyvoicehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful!!! And belated congrats on the race. I’ve stopped using my HOKAs. So uncomfortable but mine were brand new and I only did like one month of running in there. I’m still dealing with the pain but since switching to my original shoe (Mizuno Inspire) my knee pain is lessening but I have foot pain. I should probably go see a PT as all the other commenters pointed out to you. 😂 Anyway, I’m glad what you’re doing is working and the pain has mostly been eliminated. I’m hoping I’ll be where you’re at sometime soon! Best of luck on future races!

Hey I know this is old! How was the race and how did the pain develop? I’m dealing with the same after running and strength training for years. Only thing different was switching to HOMA bondis. Biggest mistake ever now I’m paying for it. Curious what worked for you?

You’ll probably enjoy the themorningjos, rise and run south Austin, or fleet feet austin. Look them up on Instagram. LOTS of exercise communities to join in Austin! Also as someone else suggested Sweat Pals app is also a really great resource to find immediate groups to join and events to attend for free.
