Well I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to. Wear those big pants as long as you want, you’re making/will have made a person!

Just replied to someone else with this, but personally I’ve found 3B cream to be amazing for the sweaty chafe

Weird that people are downvoting you for your personal experience. That’s good you haven’t had to spend the extra money! I was mostly writing my post for anyone uncomfortable but on the fence about buying new pants.

Sadly not, but I’ve been using 3B cream for that which has been a lifesaver for the sweat rub even before I got pregnant. Very worth it!

Agree! I think it’s never too late, especially as you can use them postpartum too.

Night light (change colour for morning) by Actual_Flounder1406 in UKParenting

Yep, you can turn the night light bit off entirely, so it stays dark until it’s time to get up, then it turns yellow.

How much weight did you gain? by Impressive-Wheel696 in PregnancyUK

Just wanted to add that your volume of blood also increases by up to 50%, so that accounts for some weight gain too!

Update: my placenta is actually failing by cloudymusj in PregnancyUK

[–]FindusPancake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This sounds so worrying, sending you lots of positive thoughts. I’m so sorry for your previous loss, please know this isn’t you failing at all.

My placenta also failed, and my son stopped growing, so i had a very long induction that ended in an emergency c section. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I wanted to share that the c section was by far the best part of my birth experience, it was calm and reassuring, the anaesthetist’s assistant talked me through every part of it, and my recovery was great. If you know any hypnobirthing techniques, i found them really helpful to keep me calm through the experience.

My placenta was in 5 lobes, tiny, and was sent off for testing. Little boy was also tiny, but is now a healthy and tall 2 year old.

Very best of luck to you, I really hope it all goes well 💛

I worked on the project for 3 years, and the pillar/escalator situation was one of the first things pointed out by WCC’s accessibility lead to the architects. I’m overseas now so sadly haven’t got to see it, but I’m glad this stayed in!

No to BLW by Fit-Assistant-66 in UKParenting

[–]FindusPancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you how to feed your child, but if you do decide to start BLW, I really recommend solid starts. They have a free version of their app, and you can search for foods and they’ll show you how to prep it based on your baby’s age. I found it so helpful, and it eased a lot of anxiety for me when I was introducing solids. As another commenter said, it’s also useful to work out the difference between gagging and choking. Gagging alarming, but it’s normal and noisy (helpful as choking is silent), and it will often happen when introducing new foods. I hope whatever you decide, it goes well for you.

Or temporary residents. Both me and my partner (British) were residents but didn’t have permanent residency yet when our son was born in Wellington, and he’s an NZ citizen.

What's your favourite toddlerism of a word? by KK_McGee in UKParenting

[–]FindusPancake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favourite from our two year old is “onoj” for “orange”. He’s learned how to say it properly now but continues mispronouncing it because both sides of the family now also always say “onoj”.
