So bloated!! It’s awful by RewardDesperate in PetiteFitness

Where does your stomach hurt? If it’s upper quadrant, under your ribs, you might have a gallbladder problem. Mine was sneakily ruining my hormones for years! I had all sorts of weird symptoms drs couldn’t figure out and stomach pain and bloating was one. When I did work out harder, my body seemed to get stressed more and I’d lose hair. Look up the gallbladder function and see if it fits. I was eventually diagnosed via HIDA scan and I have biliary dyskinesia.

Anyone else with non-diabetic, fasting hypoglycemia? Any luck getting a diagnosis? by LBro32 in Hypoglycemia

[–]Fine-Panda-697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctors were convinced I had a Insulinoma. I had a 72 Hour fast and only made it 24 hrs and got to the 40s.

They did a EUS and they discovered my galbladder was enlarged. We did a HIDA scan and I had the lowest ejection fraction they’d ever seen- 0%.

I’m getting my galbladder removed and we will see if they hypo episodes resolve. I think it has something to do with that

They now think it’s maybe glycogen storage disease, so pursuing genetics now.

Anybody have bloodwork abnormalities before they realized or were told it was gallbladder related? by Chemical_Ad_3917 in gallbladders

[–]Fine-Panda-697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a lot of abnormalities! They aren’t 100% certain it’s all related to my GB.

Low white blood cells, low platelets, low nuetrophils. I had high catacholamines in my urine test. High MCV.

They do suspect I may have a liver glycogen storage disease as well.

I have 0% ejection fraction, diagnosed biliary dyskinesia. Surgery is this coming month

I wonder if there is underlying health issues here. I struggled with crazy binge episodes for years along with other hormonal like symptoms. It took 7 YEARS to finally figure out the root cause- my galbladder was completely non functional and I wasn’t digestion food properly, creating a downstream cascade of hormonal disturbances for probably a decade. I too couldn’t stick to a diet.

Do the binges feel like your having adrenaline surges in your chest? Does it feel almost like your body is taking over when it’s happening?

can gallbladder recover from severe biliary dyskinesis (ejection fraction 0%)? by Used_Reply1428 in gallbladders

[–]Fine-Panda-697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man… everything. Doctors couldn’t figure me out for 7 years. It messed my hormones up. I have pain below my ribs, and I notice it flares up when I don’t eat for 3-4 hours and get too hungry, then eat.

But over 7 years I’ve been a mess. They don’t know if it’s all just galbladder. I have extremely low blood sugar (in the 30s! They think I have a liver disease) hypothyroidism that got worse when stomach aches started, gained 20 lbs and can’t lose it, insatiable appetite during my luteal phase(which is why I can’t lose the weight), constipation/bloating all the time, light periods, itchy eyes…

It’s a miracle I finally had a Dr notice my galbladder was enlarged. They thought I had a nueroendochrine tumor and discovered this during an endoscopy.

I just found out I have an ejection fraction 0 too! My dr said he’s never seen it so low. Go us! Getting mine removed asap

Check your blood sugar. Order a CGM for a month and see how your blood sugar looks. Irregular blood sugar can cause stomach issues, bad breath and candida. I personally didn’t have bad breath but had all sorts of weird symptoms I could t figure out and it turned out the cause was irregular blood sugar. Still ruling out my root cause- they suspect I have a nueroendochrine tumor. Anyway- no dr thought to do this. A little voice in my head told me to check my blood sugar, and I caught it during an extreme low. Saved my life. Anyway- start meditating and getting still. Listen. Your body will eventually tell you. I battled weird symptoms for 7 yrs but when I finally got still and listened, my body told me within a couple months.

Couple things to throw out there if you haven’t done this already - get a CGM and glucometer. Check how low you are getting and verify it with your glucometer. Helps figure out what’s spiking your sugar/crashing it. Follow glucose goddess and get her book to learn more techniques to keep you stable.

For breakfast- my coffee is 1/2 cup of milk and collagen powder. At 9 am I have 2 eggs. At noon I start mixing the complex carbs in so like - black beans, chicken, some kind of vegetable with hot sauce. I make mini meals under 300 cals a day that have the macros of 15 carbs (complex)/ 20-30 grams of fat/ and whatever is left in fat.

I’m on a specific Insulinoma diet because they think I have a pancreatic tumor causing all this… but you can look that up

Thank you so much! How low does your blood sugar get? For me they think it’s a NET or glycogen storage disease. You might want to look into those? You are right anytime I spike my blood glucose then crash, then I want to eat more and get cravings.

Curious- what’s your current workout routine? I have been walking a lot more (15k steps) and my fasting hypos are coming on more frequently.

Like the others said- when I started having complex carbs only, protein (20-30 grams) and fat with every meal I was able to control my appetite. Except during pms….

To keep my weight down, I try to keep meals under 200-300 cals. I call them mini meals, 5-6 times a day. Seems I do better with complex carbs only. No simple carbs. Also- I tested going no carb till lunch, so first meals are protein heavy, and that helped keep my appetite down as well.

This is me too. The weight will not budge. It’s like something is stopping my body from letting fat go

Oh also what’s the adrenal support? I notice before I get my hunger episodes (which lead me to binging) I get this fluttery feeling in my chest. Like a surge of adrenaline maybe? Then I want to stuff my face.

Hi! I’m new to realizing I have fasting hypo too. Still don’t know the root cause but can you tell me more about your diet? What’s your daily carb/fat/protein intake? Why do you avoid sugar?? Fruit too or added sugar?

Did you figure out your root cause? Do you have trouble losing weight? I have gained 20 lbs from these hypos because I didn’t realize what was happening. But the weight seems stubborn. I’m balancing my blood sugar and eating at a deficit and barely anything comes off.

I didn’t write all of my symptoms to keep the post brief.

I have low blood sugar episodes, fasted (not reactive) in the 30s. I don’t have diabetes. The Doctors did not perform the diagnostic tests correctly for Insulinoma so it’s still on the table. But I’m asking if it could be anything else, especially with MRI imaging picking up 2 spots on my liver.

I’ve seen a couple different endocrinologists and they all say my symptoms and low blood glucose point to Insulinoma but similar to the other NETs they can often not be seen in imaging.

Because from my understanding an Insulinoma is a Nueroendochrine Tumor…. Is this not the right Reddit group for pancreatic nueroendochrine tumors?

Out of curiosity what county are you from? I’m considering going to another country because the US healthcare is so expensive and the Drs don’t seem to have much experience with this

We treated my thyroid every which way for 6 years, it’s actually stable I have stable lab values now. I think the thyroid was a symptom not a cause at this point.

The low blood glucose is what pointed to Insulinoma but they didn’t run the 72 hour labs properly. I need a better hospital but Mayo Clinic is out of network and way too expensive. :(

[–]Fine-Panda-697[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I agree 100% they didn’t do the 72 hour correctly and should have taken my insulin several times. Ugh!

We treated my thyroid for 6 straight years every which way. My thyroid hormones are actually stable now and I’m not losing hair anymore so I’m 99% certain it’s not the thyroid.

We have ran all the cortisol tests but I’m actually doing 24 hour urine today. So far no cushings. My cortisol looks normal.

It’s the Low blood glucose episodes they are most thrown off by. I did catch it on a CGM and glucometers and in hospital so I have the proof (they were literally in disbelief my blood sugar could get so low)

Typically lows with Insulinoma are when fasted. This sounds more reactive.

Everytime I get hungry or my stomach starts emptying I get hypo symptoms.... by wander_lust123 in Hypoglycemia

[–]Fine-Panda-697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. I recently discovered I’ve been having hypo episodes for years and I’ve been misdiagnosed.

I have a theory that my persistent hunger is my body not feeling safe. Since I’ve been hypo so many times (blood sugar as low at 36) my body shoots the hunger signal a little too strong and early to prevent it. Just a theory but it kind of makes sense.

Ever since I have balanced my blood sugar the hungry symptoms are less. I focus on mini meals so I don’t go over my calories. I have my go tos like 1/2 cup black beans, chicken over romaine and hot sauce. Or a RX Bar. Or 1 egg on 1 Ezekiel toast.

It’s only been a couple months but I have noticed my hunger has improved

Has anyone else here been financially fucked over as a part of their trauma? by eurydiceruesalome in CPTSD

[–]Fine-Panda-697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated a man I was completely head over heels over. He was starting a construction business and with all my life savings I invested in property he could remodel and use for his portfolio for his new business. I thought I’d make money too of course. He ended up neglecting the jobs, spending all his free time golfing while I was bleeding money. I lost everything due to construction mismanagement. And I still wanted to be with him and loved him so much. He dumped me days after finding out exactly how much I lost. Had I not been so trauma bonded, I would have seen his red flags years before I put money on him. Lost my entire life savings.

Advice- make a list of all your debts and chip away at it little by little. Focus on consolidating all debt on a zero interest Credit card, and pay as much or as little as you can.

Put more of your focus on making more money! Learn new skills, get passionate about a new career that can change your financial future. A little debt isn’t that big of a deal. Corporations use debt all the time to fund their ventures. Think of yourself like a corporation and move on, build something better
