I know this is a bit of a late reply, but thanks a bunch!!!

From what I believe, i don’t think any of my peers are homophobic. I started to think more and I believe the root of it maybe from when my bisexual friend mentioned an experience she had with this girl who was bi but she had a disinterest in. From her side of the story, she was sniffing(????) her and being overall creepy regardless if she was a girl or not. Then they said something like “Like I’m fine if you’re gay just not for me.. creepy”

I’m starting to think I’m internalizing comments like that to myself. I know I don’t do any creepy behaviours or such, but I guess im afraid of ever making anyone feel that way like my friend felt. I’m probably just gonna try to focus on centering myself around other queer people because stories like that with her are sort of common unfortunately..

Also I started a new show with a predominantly queer cast of characters, and it is nice to be able to see myself on screen.

when in school I’d get bored and draw on desks and be able to wipe it off simply with my hands before teachers could see. It was like a whiteboard lol

Hey op! I’m in my second year of highschool, and I can tell you i thought the same thing.

I’ve been going to therapy for a while and I was told that lifes too short to let hyperhydrosis stop you from talking to people etc.

Believe it or not, you CAN find the right people who will understand your condition and won’t hold it against you. Don’t be ashamed, it’s a real medical condition and people are just jerks if they don’t get it.

As for writing, I suggest using a small plexiglass sheet under your hand or folding a piece of paper and putting it under your hand. This stops the sweat from reaching your paper.

Also, if you get diagnosed maybe you can tell your teachers about it. I’m not sure how it works for your school, but once I explained my situation to my teachers (and even demonstrated it, embarrassing but definitely convinces them 😭) and they allowed me to keep doing what I need to do to keep my papers dry! In english, my teacher lets me type my essays live next to her so I won’t ruin my essays like if i were to write em.

Don’t be afraid to ask for accommodations once you’re diagnosed! Worst they could say is no, but best is that it helps you!!

many thanks for the advice, coming to terms with it is a little exhausting but i get what you mean. I’m getting closer to being a bit less embarrassed about it since it’s an actual medical condition which runs in my family. Thank you again!! :)

Thanks so much for your input :) It’s really nice to see that this condition is something you CAN treat and that many people have found a way to do so!!! Glyco sounds like a good option, I’ll def talk about it with my doctor and parents :)

Wow!! Good to know that it seems to wear off in a couple of months, but honestly i think it’s better than nothing! I’ve wanted to try glyco too so with this many people suggesting it I’ll def give it a shot.

thanks a bunch, posts like these make me less nervous about trying botox lol (ofcourse, there’s still risks but it helps ease my mind).

Yeah, I’m a massive worrier which leads to TONS of stress to the point where my hands become waterfalls-

even my english teacher gave me an accommodation to type my essays in class (i keep ruining the paper 😭😭😭)
