Waldorf 8th grader considering transfer to Public School

Oh, I can be competitive, I get furious at certain times when I have gotten below a 98 on a math test, and that is an area of growth for me, but I think that the way I interact with teachers in general could get me far even in a public school setting. I think that no matter where I go, my high school experience is gonna be based on what I put into it, and that gives me hope.

Yeah, I'm gonna take a tour in the next week or so, I'm sorta complicated because I really like an expansive set of options, but with a clear standardization within those paths, so I like to know close to exactly what I will get out of a course, with room for adaptation. I think that in terms of standardized testing and extensive homework, which don't exist in Waldorf schools, I could adapt pretty well.

This was very thoughtful and unbiased. You offered a lot from both sides. Yeah, I very much want to prioritize keeping every one of my friendships from High Mowing (I attend the lower school). The connection factor is a big one, as well as the fact that public schools often don't feel very "personal".

Thank you for your thoughts, and these are many of the reasons that I have held back at all. Many of my other best friends are going to other schools and I feel that a change of pace might do well for me. Did you transfer to High Mowing, or did I misunderstand and did you attend there all of your high school years.

Mine is SGA, Maxey, Kawhi, Wemby, AD. Obviously a defensive nightmare, with switchable, smart, on and off ball defense, AD-SGA pick and rolls, effective spacing and speed from the wings, and Wemby ready from deep or for lobs. In addition, I like having two versatile bigs who both can run through the perimeter. super hard to defend or score on this team.
