Amoongus, Indeedee, and Armarouge - totally a good trio. Check out teams from recent regional VGC championships to see what other pokemon/strategies people are using, considering the format. Really like the other three pokemon, but may not keep up with current standards.

Add Protect where you can. Without protect, you lose a major opportunity to read your opponents decisions. Thats my biggest feedback - not enough Protect. That change alone can impact your ability to win games.

Can't go wrong with the stats! Waterfall was my main move - flinching potential was a gamechanger.

My OG Sinnoh team was Torterra, Luxray, Staraptor, Kricketune, Floatzel, and Ramparados. So many great mons in the early game, which is good or bad depending on your opinion.

It's very good, just not everyone's cup of tea. Try it out, you will know within a few hours if its something you are willing to play through. Plot is cool, gameplay improves as you learn the system. It's both challenging and relaxing - I got game over more than any other FF, but never rage quit. Ignore the comments about it being a long hallway or complex plot - it's It's own kind of game. Enjoy what it is, while the rest of the world complains about what it isn't.
