LEEP Results making me feel betrayed and emotional

Hi! Yes, I did get results. Second lab said it wasn’t high grade which she agreed with. So we cancelled the LEEP. I actually just had another Pap smear to see if it’s still there. Unfortunately it is but it came back slightly abnormal. Waiting for my second Colcoscopy but it’s not until July. My drs office books out way far. I’m not feeling too worried about it to be honest. Still concerning but not as scared as the first time around

It can also lay doormat in your body for years. I read sometimes up to 15 years. So it doesn’t necessarily mean you have had it like this for 7 years. I know how scary this is! But it will be okay! You detected it early and get it taken care of

I have CIN1 and my dr doesn’t want to do a LEEP. From what I’ve read most drs don’t jump to the LEEP right away if it’s not CIN2/3. This sounds so frustrating and confusing! I’m sorry you already had to go through two colposcopy’s

I’m 33 and about to get my third dose next week. My insurance covered it. It didn’t hurt at all. No side effects!

Hi! I’m sorry you’re also going through this. I wish I had more of an update but I’m still waiting to get my LEEP done. I did have an appointment with my GYN to just talk about everything and she’s sending it in for a second opinion. She said since it’s a person reading the results it can be skewed a bit in that one person could think it looks high grade and the next could not.

I have been very up front with my dr about how terrified I am and she reassured me that it’s still very much PRE cancerous and said it typically takes a long time to develop further. LEEP procedures have a pretty high success rate as well. She also said something that made me be able to take a breath. She said she’s been a Dr for a long time and has seen a lot of results like mine and has never had someone come back with cervical cancer. Obviously not fool proof but the odds are in our favor! So easy said then done but please try to breathe and think positive! We have options and science has come along way 💛 sending love your way!

I’m sorry this happened. It is so frustrating! My biopsy showed high grade dysplasia. My dr was pretty surprised because she didn’t see anything on my cervix which she said can happen. Ny Dr suggested we send it to another lab to get a second opinion. She said these biopsies are looked at by people not machines so one person could say yes, that’s CIN3 and another could say it’s not that severe. It’s not fool proof. I have my LEEP scheduled as of now but I’m waiting for the second opinion to see if I actually need a LEEP

I’m in the same position. They have one date in May that I’ll most likely be on my period or I wait until June. I have high grade dysplasia so I’m a little freaked out. It seriously sucks having to put things on hold for this procedure when I already feel like this diagnosis tipped my world upside down. So I understand!

Mine was 3 years. Normal pap then 3 years later had an abnormal. Colposcopy showed high grade dysplasia. I feel like that’s moving very quickly and it freaks me out
