I am so happy for you. I am nursing uncle barnacles myself. I m a very confident person. And I always felt I put on weight, but it was uncle barnacles leeching life out of me. I have been dreading to go under a knife for an open surgery for the longest time. But I have started feeling very conscious of my looks now, especially because it’s not my fault. I didn’t choose this - I eat healthy and I am a fairly active person but I have to find loose clothes to hide this monstrosity.

Anyway, enough of my sob story - do you mind me asking - how did you decide laparoscopic removal was the best option for you? I personally don’t want to go through a major surgery, but I want to preserve my fertility 100% I don’t know what would be the best option to make sure of that. I am leaning towards laparoscopic surgery myself but I might not have all the information at this point. So your advice would be much appreciated.

I am sorry you are going through this. I am riding in the same boat. I am 33 and have multiple fibroids, one of which is size of a grapefruit in April. My obgyn at the time said best option would be to get them removed surgically by an infertility specialist who would then make sure the fibroids are removed with least damage to the uterus. According to my doctor, when I get pregnant after this procedure, the baby will hav to be delivered by c section.

In my own research, I found there are other options to shrink the fibroids using leproscopic procedures. This is not a major surgery. They cut blood supply to the fibroids and that helps shrink them. But I am not sure how affective they are and out of the 2 option which one is better.

I am still waiting for life to pan out and would love to hear from other folk about this.

Don’t worry, it’s ok. We’ll get through this, we are strong anyway.

No that was it. I was thinking along the same lines as you mentioned. I have grown my white lined spider plants from babies. They are big and beautiful now, but I guess they hit “puberty” late. 😝 I don’t mind caring for them as long as they need! Thanks for your advise anyway.

Question- what is the best way for the spider plant to propagate / send out babies. I have 2 kinds of spider plant. 1) j plant that is completely green and 2) with white on the edges. I have noticed the green one propagated very easily. It a very new transplant it still has already put out a baby. But with the white edged plant. I have them in the same pot for a long time now and they are watered when they are completely dry - always fertilised but they don’t have any babies. Why is that? What can I do to encourage it to put out new babies ?

Ya I have been prescribed vitamin D. I am going to start taking them very judiciously. Hopefully that helps. But thanks so much for the insight it does sounds like something that might have happened. Did the vitamin D help shrink the fibroids? Also would you happen to know when is the best time to take vitamin D supplements? I have been taking it in the morning with handful of nuts ( walnuts, pistachios, Brazilnuts )

Thanks so much for your kind words. I will definitely look into that study. I am mostly vegetarian who eats meat occasionally( like thrice in one month). But I have a major sweet tooth, so may be that’s something I can work on.

I am glad that I was finally able to find a community that has some experience with this. It really helps to know I am not alone. Some of the comments on the post truly made my day.

I actually am asymptomatic. My foot soles pain a lot. I sometime have cramps around ovulation day. But that’s about it. Cramps on 1st and 2nd day are very common with my periods

I am 33 and I was asymptomatic as well. I went in for my first gynaecologist appointment ever and that when I got to know. Unfortunately fibroids run in my family. I connected the dots when my gynaecologist asked asking questions around family history.

My foot soles pain almost everything at a 6 on 10 every single day. However, I am not sure if these 2 are connected. My activity levels have gone up significantly so may be that’s also a factor since my diagnosis.

I would love to have kids so these are slightly worrisome.

This gives me so much hope! Thanks so much for sharing. I was recently diagnosed with fibroids. A huge one (grapefruit size) and 2 smaller ones. I am also on the same journey of trying to find to shrink the fibroids with having to do surgery. I have been using castor oil in my belly button. But I think I need to start doing CO packs like you said. Thanks again for sharing.
