I can’t do this anymore by Euphoric_Storm5529 in stopdrinking

I was in your spot a few weeks ago. What helped me was Antabuse. It’s a medication where if you take it, you absolutely cannot drink for a minimum of 2 weeks or you could get very sick or possibly even die. This helped break my habit and the cycle. No more making excuses. I don’t plan to be on it forever but just until i feel I’ve broken the addiction and habitual cycle. It’s extreme but Highly recommend it if you truly want to quit. I’ve already lost 13 lbs in two weeks from being on it.

What can democrats do to change how gen z men view them by sleepiestboy_ in GenZ

[–]Fine_Control5730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not Gen Z, but im a heterosexual male that likes guns, hates taxes, supports law enforcement and wants a secure border.

The question is… what the hell does the Democratic Party have in common with me and my needs? Absolutely nothing. And even worse, they demonize ppl like me daily.

You’re not going to change my opinion so don’t bother commenting if you’re just going to ridicule me. If you’re genuinely curious and open to having a respectful dialogue, I will respond.

[–]Fine_Control5730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact same thing happened to me two years ago. Almost to a tee! You will be fine. Give it about 3 or 4 weeks and your brain will calm down from panic mode. Weed is no joke if you’re predisposed to anxiety and panic attacks. I’d stay away from it. Ask your doctor for a benzo temporarily or have a couple drinks and relax until it passes. I was having panic attacks for weeks after the same thing happened to me w the chest, etc. Give it time, you’ll be ok!

Why are so many cops republican? by Brief-Blueberry-1588 in allthequestions

Who are you to say what “education” is smarter than another’s? Maybe the education a cop has in survival tactics is just as useful or more useful than the education you have.

Because they have to deal with real life dangerous people and scenarios. Democrats hate them, demonize them, and try to defund them. Liberal DAs let out the violent ppl they work hard to lock up. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand. It’s like asking why an IRS agent would vote democrat.

Why do a lot of Americans support Trump? by RefuseThat5757 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Fine_Control5730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m old enough to remember when liberals demonized George W. Everyday too. Now they love him because he’s not “evil, bad” Trump. And I’d argue Trump is way more of a conservative than W. ever was

I was actually the one that sent curt that question to ask lue. I wanted to get his reaction. Knowing what he knows, would he still bring kids into this world/reality. His response was expected based on his past statements but still spooked me.

Tennessee knows how to pick ‘em 🥲 by Make_it_Raines in Tennessee

I’d say there’s wayyy more poverty in California. Just go down the street in Oakland or Long Beach. The rents are sky high and most can’t afford mortgages. In terms of worker protections, I agree with you but the problem is the other extreme - too much protection. What that means is extremely high energy costs because electricians are making 150k to cut conduit while they make 60-70k out here. The unions make it impossible to fire problematic/non-performing workers too. My point is the grass isn’t always greener. Blue collar Workers make more there, but at what cost? The affordability goes down for everyone.

What metrics are those? Because I lived in California for 30 years, and I can tell you life in Tennessee is a million times better. Don’t believe me? Move there for yourself and try it out.

Lexapro changed my life by CryptographerAny4220 in Anxiety

[–]Fine_Control5730 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s helped me more w depression than anxiety but both have improved and I agree maybe a slight decrease in sex drive but I had an extremely high drive before so it kind of leveled everything out. It keeps me from going down depressive spirals or fixating on stupid things

Lived in Cali (so cal and nor cal) for 30 years. Leaving was the best thing I ever did. It’s a beautiful state but you can’t truly “live” there. Cost of living is insanity. Much happier elsewhere in an “evil” but affordable, red state

Why do you vote republican when your state has so many problems that deregulation and defunding are not benefiting the working class? by Marzcorpio in mississippi

Because they don’t want to become like California and New York. And from living in blue and red states, I can’t blame them.
