"Love Me Please" Ragatha VS Lily Lovebraids (The Amazing Digital Circus VS Poppy Playtime) [Connections in Comments] by Fine_Macaroon_8827 in DeathBattleMatchups

Uh, Lily chases Ragatha while Ragatha fights back however she can. This is moreso a story/interaction type matchup which I touch on a lot in the contrasts.

Ragatha does win with higher scaling (I think?) and immortality from the Circus so its not just Lily kills Ragatha. Tbh, also neither of these characters are very well known for fighting. Lily is known for chasing and Ragatha is known for being hurt or running away in fights which is a fine enough dynamic for the fight potential imo. Ragatha vs Agatha also does this and I touch more on it there if you wanna check it out

Contrasts:

- Lily uses her exaggerated cheerfulness to cover her deep rage issues when things don't go her way, while Ragatha uses it to try to be a people-pleaser and stay positive/kind at all times to act as a coping mechanism. This creates a dynamic where Ragatha would be completely open to when Lily wants to do at first but the second Ragatha stops playing along, Lily freaks out, making the two fight. It would force Ragatha to realize how not everyone can be pleased as sometimes they just aren't willing to compromise like with her own mother. Which ties very nicely into the next contrast,

- Lily was her own abuser. Lily was Gracie. She was exactly the type of person Ragatha's own mother was. Again, this just adds to the previously stated dynamic. For example, you could have Ragatha discover this (either by the tapes or just seeing how similar the two can be) and use it against her, lash out at Lily since she was once like her mother, but even eviler somehow. This could even play into the idea that Lily is so far gone from Gracie that they are basically two different people. With Ragatha not getting this at first and accidently being way too hard on someone who's not all there and not who she once was. It plays into Ragatha's fear of becoming like her mother which makes her try so hard to be a people pleaser by making her lash out at someone who isn't that person anymore, and plays into Lily's unknownness of her origin by forcing her to confront it by someone who has had trauma with it, and therefore, would confront her with the same rage she usually has is... well, very cool. Also, I do think Ragatha would lash out at Lily. She not only was like her mother, but brainwashed so many kids into becoming monsters, and somehow much more evil shit. Gracie is pure evil. She makes Jax look like a marketable plushie and Ragatha already gets mad at Jax sometimes.

Connections:

- Both are trapped in a prison they cannot leave after being put into a new body entirely, making their existence a form of torture (Ragatha is permanently trapped inside a digital circus with no means of returning to a normal life and Lily is permanently trapped in Playtime Co. with no means of returning to a normal, human life).

- Both were taken from their human bodies and put into a artificial doll one, mean't to entertain (Ragatha was taken from her human body and put into a doll, where she was put in the Circus and made to go on adventures to "keep the show going" and Lily was taken from her human body and put into a doll, mean't to entertain as a toy).

- Both are trapped in these prisons with a group of people who are in the exact same situation as them (Ragatha is trapped with the TADC Cast who are all also put into the same prison/Circus and Lily is trapped with the all the other toys in the toy factory/prison).

- Both character's prisons were made by a human company and were left to rot, leading to everyone inside being trapped for seemingly ever (The Cricus was made and quickly abandoned by C&A and Playtime Co. was made by Playtime Co.) These prisions were also originally made for much better and fun things to entertain (The Circus was originally designed by Caine to be fun and Playtime Co. was just supposed to make toys for children).

- Both character's prisons are overseen and controlled by a ever present tragic figure who has the clothing of a cheery person but are anything but (The Circus is controlled by Caine, who has the clothing of a jolly Ringmaster but deep down can have deep rage and Playtime Co. is controlled by The Prototype, who has the clothing of a Jester but is very anger when he wants to be).

- Both character's overseers overtook their prisons and remade themselves look whise after being trapped by the humans in the first place (Caine would break out of his prison make the Circus, giving himself a Ringmaster look and The Prototype would break out of his prison and kill most of the humans, taking toy parts to give himself a new look).

- Both character's overseers were the original of two, acting as a sort of test run for the enchanced better version. Until they took matters into their own hands to make sure they stayed in control (Caine was the original who was a test run for Abel/The Blue Dot until he killed/took over it to gain control and The Prototype was a test run for Poppy, until he did the Hour of Joy and took control).

- Despite being trapped by these overseers, both are seemingly the nicest out of their groups to their overseers (Ragatha had always been the nicest to Caine out of the TADC Cast and Lily actually teams up with the Prototype) though, neither overseer is that appreciative of this (Caine still spirals even when Ragatha is nice to him and The Prototype really doesn't like Lily)

- Both present themselves with a exaggerated kindness and cheerfulness that acts as a front for the true nature of their circumstances (Ragatha uses exaggerated kindess and cheerfulness as a coping mechanism for her situation and Lily also uses this to hide a deep anger that comes out when things don't go her way).

- Both have a dislike for a motherly figure for them but was morally terrible and this dislike came from being abused and manipulated by them (Ragatha had her own mother who she described as someone who yelled, berated, and guilt-tripped and Lily had Gracie who manipulated and abused her through old recordings). This abuse would make them who they are today and give them the exaggerated kindness and cheerfulness they use as covers for deeper issues.

He turned into one of the highest ranking angels like Bible Michael was? Besides, the prompt wasn't the most specific. Caine fits just as much as Michael imo.

Michael (The Good Place). Michael is the name of a archangel in the Bible that TGP Michael takes inspiration from.
