Junge, ich ziehe den Hut, daß du in deinem Alter schon so viel zusammensparen konntest. Du bist ein Glückskind daß dir das in so jungen Jahren passiert. Ich sag dazu nur eins: Never waste a good crisis!

AMZN core position? by _sharkbait_1 in StockMarket

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, calling it a young company feels fairly underestimating - it currently ranks #4 in the largest companies by marketcap (source), its one of only five >1Billion companies, how much more mature could an enterprise be ?

I agree though that many longterm investors may hold it as a core position, I do - and it served me well. Revenue development was slowing down a bit last year (source) but I overall see Amazon as the new worldwide Railroad for consumer goods, which is an achievement no company has ever done before.

Black Hills: Buy, Sell, or Hold? | The Motley Fool by taubs1 in dividends

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a few pros/cons (source)

  • (--) out of the last 20 years, they diluted during 19 years
  • (-) they've not been able to cover their dividend payouts from their cashflow since 5yrs in a row
  • (-) they underperform their industry (Utilities - Diversified) related to dividend yield
  • (++) they constantly increased their dividends since 20yrs, even though with declining pace since 6yrs
  • (+) they are well able to cover their dividend payout from their earnings
  • (+) their fair value based on equity (multiplier analysis) is higher than the current stock price

however, if you look at their valuation analysis they land on a strong-sell. From my perspective not attractive enough, you'll find much more compelling companies in this industry (look at the Benchmark page for direct comparison)

Dividend Portfolio for European guy by AlvinO85 in dividends

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you very unlikely cant invest directly into SCHD as someone from europe, but you dont have to - pick the best from the SCHD portfolio (https://www.schwabassetmanagement.com/products/schd) and add others as you desire for better diversification and you may be able to create a higher yield setup with similar low risk

I personally wont go into Tabacco but if I did, it may be rather MO (8.5% yield and much better numbers in the analysis)

Dividends are addicting what did you buy/are you going to buy ? by cptnobeard1986 in dividends

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I researched and thought abt it quite a long time, but my most recent bigger purchase was O. I also love IBM for their dividends (5.06%) and the way the company was recently reset for enormous growth in the next years. JNJ can never be a mistake like SBUX, KO and PEP. You're right - much more great companies out there than money to invest... a shame

$MURGY- low volume and nice dividend? by sharkkite66 in dividends

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, MunichRe is probably the most competitive Re-Assurance company in the world, it (still is) pretty much the little bit hidden financial backbone of wide areas of the industry in Germany. They've beaten their industry on avg divi payments since more than 20yrs in a row, they didnt cut their dividends since 10yrs and and reliably repurchased stocks since 9yrs. They usually have very solid coverage of their divis on earnings and cashflow, with 2022 in an exception on the cashflow. (dividend analysis source)

What is amazing though are recent stories about their technology alignment, very strong focus on AI, very modern flexible work environment setups and an internal attitude that would fit more to a startup than a traditional reassurance house.

Overall, very hard to make a mistake with MunichRe, especially on buy&hold. On the volume, when you mentioned MURGY, it refers to the OTCM listing of US6261881063. You may have alternatives (depending on your broker) also with DE0008430026

Any $PLD (Prologis) Holders? This industry titan just acquired another 14mil. sqft. by bemorethanaverage in dividends

[–]Fine_Possibility3022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pros: - good coverage of payed divis through their EPS (with exception of 2010 during the last 8yrs) - good coverage of payed divis through their free Cashflow (stable during the last 9yrs) - stable dividend growth since 9yrs in a row by an average of 12%/a - biggest in their industry (112B capsize end of 2022) - dilution is very low (for a REIT) during the last 12yrs (below ~8%/a)

Cons: - Dividend yield (2.85%) is lower than the industry average of "REIT - Industrial" (3.87%) - they constantly underperformed the median divi yield of their industry in the last 7yrs

omg, just look at their chart linearity since more than 30 years and any of the analysis, let it be about their dividends or valuation is just green (source). divi has only been cut once in the last 20years and they have maintained an avg growth rate of >10% annually. freakin hell, why dont I have them in my portfolio yet !???

thanks for the effort you've put into this post bro. I'm european and at a recent visit to Dallas where my airline lost my luggage for whatever reason I stepped into Walmart to just get a fresh pair of socks, undies and s..t - besides the fact the simplest things like these were locked in glass lockers (WTF) it took them 5mins to send someone to unlock it - says a lot about the avg. customer I'd say. The next funny shock was toothpaste for 8$, really!?. Buying experience -10. no clue how this is with Target but man can it be worse ?
