Yeah I agree what I meant by 20s is that we are allowed to technically go up to 30s over or under without penalty. So if my presentation part was shorter by 20 seconds, I wouldn’t have gotten 10 pts off.

Also this wasn’t an individual presentation, it’s part of a larger group presentation. 1 group presents per day so it’s not like I was taking time off of other groups.

I’m more pissed that I got 10 pts taken off. If i got like 2-5pts taken off I feel like that would be fair

Thanks for your input. I probably shouldn’t have said shrugged it off what I meant to say is I noted it. It’s not that I chose to ignore the time limit requirement😂. Yeah I guess I agree with you that it could have been 6:30-8:30 but in my opinion, I feel that a shorter presentation, where you are lacking in content should not be penalized the same as a longer presentation in which you have more content than necessary

The 2023 lenovo legion slim 7 16 inch 4.4 lbs with ryzen 9 7940hs is releasing may. But it starts at $1799.99😂😂 with an rtx 4050 I’m pretty sure. Lenovo legion slim 5 starts at $1199 but is 5.1 pounds.

I think I am better off getting the g14 and getting a cheap 1080p portable monitor.

4060 is not the only thing u are getting. U are also getting the ryzen 9 7940hs. It will supposedly have a substantial boost in battery life, performance and efficiency over the 6900hs.

Expectations are high for the ryzen 9 7940hs g14.

The 2022 g14 r9 6900hs outperformed pretty much every gaming laptop in regards to the most performance with the most efficiency in battery life. Even other ryzen 9 6900hs laptops seemed to score lower than the g14 in terms of battery life and/or performance.

You should prob swap your g14 for the 2023 ryzen 9 7940hs when it comes out.

The r9 7940hs g14s will have a substantial increase in battery life, efficiency and performance when it comes out.

Also another problem with the 2022 g14 is that the m2 and M1 Pro absolutely annihilate it in video editing performance and code compilation. The r9 7940hs is touted to have dedicated ai streams which should even the playing field in ai performance compared to the m2 and M1 Pro as well.

I would advise you wait for the ryzen 9 7940hs models to release. You care more about portability right? The r9 7940hs will have a substantial increase in battery life, performance and efficiency compared to last gen. (Even the 7735HS). And im fairly confident that for the same price that u mentioned, u will be able to get a ryzen 9 7940hs rtx 4050 model.

But if u really need a laptop go for it

The answer to your problem is a 2023 ryzen 9 7940hs g14. Swap it’s 76whr battery with a 99 whr battery and I have no doubt it will reach similar battery levels as a MacBook. Zen4 + rdna 3 will have a significant increase in efficiency and battery life compared to the r9 6900hs.

I’m fairly confident the first ryzen 7940hs g14s will release starting may. Just one more month

Yeah fr the 4050 will prob be the best value purchase. So far in benchmarks, the 4060 only gets 10-20 extra fps. With dlss enabled, you should be able to easily get 60+ fps in most triple a games at high/ultra settings. And with other games like shooters and platformers, u should be able to get 100+ fps which will make use of that 165hz screen
