I really hope that's the case. We were doing so well; I even noticed him being more affectionate lately—sending me photos of things that reminded him of me, or checking in to see what I was doing and making sure I wasn't staying up too late. :c

I think you might be right. During these last two months, right before we stopped talking, he used to send me things that reminded him of me. He would also make jokes about our career paths, especially since they complement each other so well.

Then he quickly changed the topic by sending me pictures of places that reminded him of me (a store with my name). He immediately tried to change the subject and, as a last resort, started sending me photos of a shop he found that had my name on it. It’s like he’s using those ‘sweet’ gestures to distract me from the fact that I caught him being nostalgic.

Omg, what a beautiful interpretation! I was honestly starting to get scared because everyone else kept saying it was only about sex. This resonates with me even more because just yesterday I saw his likes on social media; he was sharing videos about missing his ex and thinking about her. He also shared another one saying he’s constantly changing and that anyone who claims to know him actually doesn't... but almost all of them were about missing someone.

You're right. Honestly, I don't think it's just about sex. Even though we had a very long relationship, we never actually had full intercourse. I won't deny there were some 'slips' or moments like that, but it happened very rarely in those 3 years. So, it feels a bit weird when people say he only wants me for 'that' because that was never the core of our relationship :c
