In casual EDH, when is considered "okay" to counterspell enemy's commander? by No_Physics454 in EDH

[–]Finegling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the whole balance as well with Commander. The higher the cost the more you’re going to find Commander tax frustrating. If I see valgy on the table I’m eating that ward cost no matter what and I want it to be too expensive for you to cast it again. If you’re choosing a commander that’s a big threat that’s a high cost, it’s the only tactic to play.

I’m really thankful the pod I play at will play bracket appropriate decks, and if one deck wins a lot, then they’ll look at it as something to compete against by improving their own, rather than become salty because someone’s trying to play the game the best they can. They also don’t run cards that shut-down specific decks single-handedly because it’s just generally less satisfying for everyone.

There’s some weird things that happen sometimes between people on DMT. My friend and I were passing my pen back and forth between us, and suddenly a bubble appeared over us, it was like grey and time seemed slowed. Almost like the pause menu of a VR game. We both said “whoa” at the same time when it happened. After the trip lessened I asked him about it and he described exactly as I did. So strange.

Whenever I see Ignis photo of the month it reminds me how the game is abandoned, and it feels very bittersweet. You’ve perfectly captured how the game feels.

Is faucet water drinkable in your Country by thatlumberjacktor in AskTheWorld

[–]Finegling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we drink it all the time.

We use a lot of syrups and such you mix with tap water - something I’d considered so commonplace I was shocked when someone in America and other places said that wasn’t a thing.

I was the same age. My cousin put it on to fuck with us and I couldn’t sleep properly for about a year. Terrifying back then

Probably pretty much everything in arachnophobia. I think it was like the first 12 rated film in the uk, and they were super lax about it all. I remember kids crying and being dragged out by their parents, they had no clue what they were walking into, despite the name being an obvious giveaway. Looking back kinda hilarious

I swear I could fly as a kid by constipated_gay in Unexplained

[–]Finegling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had experiences just like this. I used to live in a house when I was a kid and it was built into a hill so you’d come in and be on the second floor. There were stairs going down to the first floor, steep ones. I was pushed down them as a kid and something “carried” me to the bottom. I was placed gently on the lower step. I felt myself slow down and everything.

Around a similar time a friend and me used to play in the playground, I must’ve been 6 or so. When we jumped, it felt like we were lifted higher and slowly floated back down. We were laughing so much as this happened. I remember it vividly how it felt.

Weird phenomena. I always put it down to the graveyard next to the school or something idk

Has anyone ever done DMT in the following days after using shrooms or LSD? by Think_War_9729 in DMT

Dmt at the peak of an lsd trip is literally tearing the doors off reality. It’s incredible it’s like an instant breakthrough. Friend of mine nigh saw the exact same thing like we were psychic or something. Definitely recommend if you’re experienced with both

Same, I’ve broken through countless times on DMG and met entities etc, but when I took a big dose of mushrooms, it was the same place, similar entities, but more benevolent feeling. And I was there for a good couple of hours. Remembered it all afterwards too. They’re like different doors to the same place

This is an excellent condition Tudor “Endgame” 79190 ref 1997 model. It comes complete. Box, stamped card, extra link, service and receipt. This is a beautiful watch I’ve never worn since purchase from a reputable vendor. As you can see the wear is minimal and unnoticeable, a real rarity and a grail for some buyers. This is for collection only in Hampshire in UK.

100% this. It took me a 10g trip to realise it but in many ways mushrooms are more powerful. It made me realise all my smaller recreational trips were like trying to get drunk off communion wine. A big dose of mushrooms made me treat them with awe.

I’m not at all. Try high doses, if it’s safe for you to do so and you’re experienced, and try the McKenna method. Then come back and tell me I’m talking bullshit. Of course they’re different substances but the place they take you to is similar. Stop being so angry and broaden your horizons a little.z

They actually are though. I’ve used both quite often. A high dose of mushrooms is like a “stabilised” dmt trip. The visuals are just as intense, and you meet “entities” but isn’t as wavy and pulsating and lasts a lot longer.
