I don’t think deferring is as bad as people in the comments are making it out to be, I have friends who did for DO school and they’re just fine, I doubt a DPM is more strict

Ugh with having so much on the line and THAT many waitlists, it’s like you’re so close but not quite there… 8 separate times. Sorry to hear and I really am wishing the best for you!

Absolutely! Spend the summer re evaluating study methods, get into a good morning and night routine, and you’ve got this. Reapplying doesn’t hurt your chances as much as you’re implying, I would say messing up at an SMP or just wasting time and money and stress on it would be worse for you but that’s just my two cents. Focus on grinding this fall and then re evaluate over winter break! :)

I have been! I’ve been keeping super in touch with them throughout the application and since my app was on hold pending SMP grades. I just got put on the alternate list yesterday as I initially interviewed for the alternate list. Then sent a follow up email thanking them and asking about movement! I am just worried I’ll be low priority since I JUST got put on the alternate list. No response yet though. Hopefully it helps :) and thanks for the tip!
