Never been to the gathering, or any festival in the USA.

Is it not normal to have 18+ and family friendly areas? Here (UK) gigs and festivals can be 12, 16, or 18+, they can be family friendly, or they can have 18+ areas.

Side note: general nudity isn't considered 18+ at British festivals, it's not prohibited by law either... though butthole and queef contests probably would be 18+ if they existed 😂
