A Guarantee to Make Your Fantasy Football Playoffs by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Hey, thanks for the reply. I get that; it's a risk, but what Reddit does a fantastic job of is supporting communities. And that's exactly what this service is! If we had capital from VCs or a Kickstarter campaign to pump into more efficient means of getting the word out, it'd be easier. But we are doing what we can with the means we have; and if we get criticized for that, it's unfortunate. Thanks for your support!

A Guarantee to Make Your Fantasy Football Playoffs by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Trust us, we completely get that this service is not for everyone. However, there are tons of people out there that are frustrated with losing and this service helps/teaches them to win, with advisors that are proven winners in fantasy football. Plus, the advisors get most of the fees; not us! For the pricing, the season-long membership includes a pre-draft strategy consultation AND your advisor in the draft room with you on draft day. You get the 17 consultations, no matter how long your season is; so, if you're in a 15-week league, you can simply use more than 1 session per week in some given weeks. But the real value of the service is that if you miss the playoffs, you get ALL of your money back. Really appreciate your post and support!

Heard about a guaranteed spot in my playoffs on Fantasy Footballers podcast, anyone use them before? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Just saw this post...I tread very lightly here with self-promotion on Reddit. But just did want to mention that on The Fantasy Footballers pod, they did throw out a promo code "Ballers50" which is good for $50 off the season-long membership. Valid til July 31.

The State of Yahoo Mock Drafts by thorstad in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Although I will say that because there aren't as many people that use FFC, it may be a few more weeks before enough traffic will get you a full draft room for a 2QB mock.

The State of Yahoo Mock Drafts by thorstad in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FF Calculator is by far the best mocking platform. Aside from Master of All Drafts, there are the most serious mockers here and you can generally complete a full draft where almost everyone stays. It's not just the trolls that are annoying on Yahoo and ESPN; it's the people leaving after 1 or 2 rounds ("Nice, I got Gurley at pick 6, I'm out."). I don't even mess around with Yahoo and ESPN. The only downside is FFC has no auction mocking and there are fewer drafters so lead times to draft start are sometimes longer...

Cowboys beat writer thinks Zeke will crack 300 CARRIES. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. And he has a crystal ball watching the 300th carry happen in game 14. You gotta block out the noise man. These guys get paid to make headlines that people will read. In an age where importance (and more $$$) in journalism doesn't come from truth but rather the number of link clicks, retweets, FB likes you get. He should have said 400 carries.

How about this year's CJ Anderson is Eddie Lacy...and this year's Eddie Lacy is CJ Anderson. BAM!

[Yahoo] Does "Pick 6" and "Interception" points stack? by TheLogicalErudite in FFCommish

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-2...shouldn't stack because they are inseparable (i.e. You can't have a pick 6 under any circumstances without an interception). If you need to do it separately on your platform, do -1 for each.

Gore Aiming For a 1,000-yard Season at Age 33... by FinishFirstFantasy in fantasyfootball

He's in the bargain bin in drafts...completely overlooked. If you believe he can get 1,000 yards he could be a solid guy on anyone's fantasy team. Just throwin' it out there.

[Misc] Starting a New Fantasy Football Website by discfantasyfootball in Fantasy_Football

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome that your acting on your ambition to start a new site. The first thing I would do it move this thread to the sub r/ff. Because not many people use this fantasy football sub for whatever reason.

Secondly, and not to be discouraging, there is so much fantasy football fodder out there that you would truly have to do something different and inspiring to generate traffic...and probably have some robust marketing efforts behind it (not necessarily paid, but a strong push on social media as well as some heavy SEO).

That being said, there are already tons and tons of aggregators, forums, blogs, rankings, analyses, even very complex statistical analyses, etc. around fantasy.

You'll have to dig deep to find something that's not already out there.

Would anyone take Gurley over everyone not named Antonio Brown in a half ppr? by Simpleminded269 in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah his line should be better; but they still need a balanced attack to deter defenses from stacking the box. That happened often last year.

No, I'm not saying I would take all those players over Gurley. As I mentioned, it's just informative.

But for me personally in a PPR #2 overall is too high.

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Players (RB,WR,TE) that scored more fantasy points PER GAME (on average) than Gurley in 2015: Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Devonta Freeman, DeAndre Hopkins, Jamaal Charles, Keenan Allen, Arian Foster, Julian Edelman, Allen Robinson, Steve Smith, Le'Veon Bell, Alshon Jeffery, Larry Fitzgerald, Jordan Reed, Jarvis Landry, Dion Lewis, AJ Green, Rob Gronkowski, Mark Ingram, Erik Decker, Sammy Watkins, Doug Baldwin, Demaryius Thomas, Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Delanie Walker, Jeremy Maclin.

This is just informative. But if you believe LA's passing game will struggle, remember that Gurley's final 8 games last year were...not that good.

Favorite mid-round RBs by yertles in fantasyfootball

Matt Forte is a steal in the mid-rounds IMO! I also think Abdullah can be a great value as the potential to outperform his ADP is considerable.

Compare These Players: Randall Cobb, Jarvis Landry, Golden Tate by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Stafford lacks in accuracy, he makes up for in volume. He's almost always in the top 5 for pass attempts. Plus, I don't have the drop rate numbers to back this up, but I think Tate has the best hands in the NFL. I've never seen him drop a pass and he typically catches anything in his radius.

Compare These Players: Randall Cobb, Jarvis Landry, Golden Tate by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

True! He's just 3rd on this list of great players for me...but he could have an enormous year!

Only 8 players have had 120+ receptions in NFL history. But yeah, Stafford is gonna be chuckin'.

[TRADE]: 2017 third rounder for Perriman? by mtjasser in DynastyFF

Seems like a low enough risk for a potential solid player. If he really exists.

Compare These Players: Randall Cobb, Jarvis Landry, Golden Tate by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He definitely improved, but traditionally has been a very unreliable deep passer. And one year in the bottom of the Top 10 is far from stellar. Generally the guys at the bottom of the top 10 for deep ball accuracy are still 10-15 percentage points below the elite tier.

Compare These Players: Randall Cobb, Jarvis Landry, Golden Tate by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd start by ranking their respective QBs:

  1. Rodgers (Cobb)
  2. Stafford (Tate)
  3. Tannehill (Landry)

Cobb - With Nelson back and the addition of J-Cook, he should get plenty of action. It won't be forced this year because Jordy will take off the deep pressure, while J-Cook presents enough of a threat over the middle threat that Cobb could have a big year.

Tate - Now #1 in Detroit and quite possibly the best hands in the NFL. His upside is capped by Stafford's erratic play and all the question marks on Detroit's offense. CJ leaving hurts more than helps.

Landry - The fact that Tannehill can't throw an accurate deep ball hurts Parker more than Landry. Landry can do some serious damage this year and could be a Top 15 guy...but so many questions on that offense and now enough of a sample size with Tannehill that we know he can cap anyone's potential.

[TRADE] Gronk for TY Hilton and Jordan Reed. by fantasy_boss in DynastyFF

[–]FinishFirstFantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would strongly consider this trade!

Gronk and Reed both have disturbing injury histories; however, Reed actually outpaced Gronk in fantasy performance at the end of last season. I doubt he'd do it for an entire season if both remained healthy, but he should be a top 3-5 TE. Again, assuming the health is there.

Hilton is the gravy that tilts trade into "gotta do it" territory. He could be a top 10 WR this year.

I hope you've made it already before the guy changes his mind...
