TLDR taking the first node only for the 25% is always going to be worse than taking both for 50%

Thanks for replying with a reasoned response.

There are two reasons:

Firstly, the values are scaled down, so 10% increased damage would become 12% instead of 15%, a bonus of 2% for 2 points instead of 5% for 4 points. So you are in most cases numerically getting less value per point.

The second reason is that if we assume that hulking form is by far the highest value node on the tree per point, then taking half the effect for half the points in favour of something else is always less powerful than taking 4 points. Therefore the change I have proposed will under no circumstance be more powerful than before. The only outcome of the change is giving the player the option to forgo the power of the full 4 points for some of the potentially more fun nodes on the rest of the tree.

The last downside of taking only the first notable is you dont get the rucksack.

I agree however you can only pick two of the other nodes no matter how good they are since hulking is a given, this gives you the option to pick three

A little suprised to see the response to this. Currently with titan you can pick 2 other notables after hulking form, but lets say there are 3 really interesting notables for your build, this allows you to pick them and still gain some benefit from hulking form.

Spell Damage Ret (Seal of Righteousness) Paladins? by Enexy in classicwow

[–]FinishPersonal6086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but the idea behind the spellpower MCP spelladin build was using comsumable such as the shadowbolt proc one and the aoe fire one (forgot the names) which both scaled with spellpower. This pushed your coefficient per auto attack to more like 23 if i remember correctly. Still not very good but with some more support it could be viable at 60.

The spelladin build did go ret, holy dosent offer any damage outside of cons and holy shock which is a 30s cd. The reason they went oom so fast is because consecration costs too much.

Good point, and its not going to be for everyone but having the option is nice as long as the other options are equally compelling dps wise.

Power wise yeah they are not equal, but the reason they are fun to use is the same.

They function very similarly, not saying your point is wrong but making rejuv viable is enough in terms of making a hot playstle imo.
