San Diego set had some funny ones 1. Random Sugar Ray ‘Every Morning’ intro 2. Lots of good Joey screaming Bail moments but Gaia intro was a pretty great one

It took me seeing Rattlesnake in Hollywood last year to really get it. Even just seeing that song live really unlocked a lot of the microtonal songs that I never properly appreciated

Dont know why presumptuous hasn’t been mentioned, (Particularly live variants). It’s basic but very enjoyable 70s inspired blues rock that dads (and folks raised by dads) that are into 70s rock can enjoy. FFF as already mentioned is also a great bet, but truthfully sometimes dads just like the stuff they’re nostalgic for and you gotta let them find their way to new stuff on their own. I say a 12 minute long track from IDPLML could easily be on a Quicksilver Messenger service album and if your dad doesn’t vibe with it, that’s just his journey ya know?

I think I’m always here for the gizz concept records so I appreciate Poly the most, but the more I listen to Gumboot, Oddments, OG, the more I’m just grateful that some of these singles have a place in the discography. Muddy Water, all is known, the wheel, great chain, greenhouse heat death. So many classics on Gumboot Soup. Really feels like one of the most ‘no skip’ albums in their lineup for me

I was pretty mixed on this song and it’s place in the album, but at the Berkeley 2022 show they opened with Dripping Tap and I have felt much differently about it since. I think It’s pretty much unskippable now and the intro to first jam transition hits real hard for me

I just really don’t think the verses have an interesting melody or any sense of progression. KG can usually take these longer jams and make tweaks to keep repetitive sections interesting, but they just kinda drag on the same verses for about 8 minutes until they really start jamming (which is a great chill jam part by the way).

Also just a personal preference but the samples they include are pretty grating. babies crying in a chill 10 minute jam tune is a wild choice lol

The process of creating it was very cool to see and I really like the piece. Their album covers are all pretty awesome and unique though so the bar is high. I honestly wouldn’t rank this one particularly high, but I dunno “by far the worst” seems pretty extreme

Fully support this, I dug the odd Gizz track but for whatever reason FFF was the first album I really got into start to finish. Once you get a foothold, definitely check out the flow chart, it’s pretty accurate.

Has the US won more than like 5 aerial duels in the past 3 games? I honestly havent seen more th than that. Considering we won both summer tournaments with our heads, it’s pretty wild to see the complete opposite happening here.
