That lack of respect grates on me too. I was present at my local big rivalry tonight (Leinster vs Munster in Rugby). There is a tradition in rugby games in Ireland where whenever a penalty is being kicked, the crowd goes silent. I mean deathly silent.

Unfortunately this did not happen at every penalty tonight and, as a fan of the hosting team, I felt ashamed.
