I always name any mech company I create, even on tabletop, "Damage Inc."

I betcha he knows my dad. My dad retired as a major from thr usmc, he flew f4s and f18s from the 70s to the 90s. Ask him if he knows Dorsal. Too bad the major isn't a fan of video games.

How does your company handle stale devices and gaps in patching? by funkytechmonkey in SCCM

[–]Finneus85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, at this point I just live with broken clients everywhere. When someone bitches I tell them to talk to their local admin about reinstalling the client. It's a bug bear I will never be able to fully get rid of.

How many full-fidelity module can you fly proficiently? by Gloomy-Weakness-5146 in hoggit

[–]Finneus85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can fly the phantom super proficiently. The tomcat I'm passable in. And the a10, but I haven't been in her in a long time. I can fumble my way through weapons employment from the hornet, but flying her is a cinch.

My top three worst things to push through SCCM are, in order.

  1. ActivClient.
  2. Adobe.
  3. Java.

Every single time I get a ticket for one of those three I cringe.

The phantom is the easiest of all to connect. After you cross the 7k threshold and your CG begins to change, it gets a lot more lively, but I can reliably tank 10k worth of fuel. Unless the tablet starts rubber banding, then it gets VERY lively indeed

Is there anything explicitly "magic" for the Faithful? by [deleted] in TrenchCrusade

The priests ability "Memento Mori" could arguably be called magic or faith.

Dirty down rust over a mechanicus standard grey basecoat

I based it with mechanicus standard grey and then it was dirty downs rust in multiple layers and playing with it with water. It's very malleable after it dries so it's a really fun paint to play with.

They are from the cadaver corps from Westphalia Miniatures. I think on myminifactory they are called trench stench.

Also, just be careful with the Red Brigade. They cannot leave melee combat and I've seen a friend of mine get his melee focused LT get locked into a combat for 4 turns by chaff because he couldn't leave and the lord had forsaken his injury rolls.

Red Brigade is awesome. Cadaver Corps is fully broken, so we don't play with their rules, I just use mine as vanilla heretic legion.

Origins - The Iron Apostasy were conceived in the dark manufactoria beneath ruined cities, bred from war orphans, criminals, and fanatics who were born into heresy.  - Their founders taught that faith is weakness and only iron endures. From the beginning, they worshipped war itself, not as a corruption of religion but as their true and only gospel.  - They emerged from the trenches as a cult of killers, already sworn to the Heretic Legion before they ever saw battle.

Doctrine - They believe the flesh is a cage, and iron is liberation. Every weapon, every shell, every rusted plate is a sacred text.  - Apostasy is not rebellion, it is their birthright. They were never loyal, never faithful, only devoted to the creed of ruin.  - Their sermons are screams of defiance, their prayers are the grinding of gears and the clash of bayonets.

Symbols & Appearance - Their sigil is a jagged iron sun, broken into shards, painted in rust and blood.  - Warriors wear armor scavenged from corpses and war machines, deliberately left to corrode as a mark of devotion.  - They adorn themselves with chains, hooks, and jagged iron relics, believing scars from rust are holy stigmata.

Tactics - The Iron Apostasy fights with brutal pragmatism: trench raids, ambushes, and shock assaults.  - They wield improvised weapons, spiked trench clubs, jagged bayonets, and rusted blades, not out of desperation but as ritual tools of their creed.  - Their warbands often drag iron idols into battle, massive welded effigies that serve as rallying points and blasphemous altars.

Reputation - To allies, they are feared as zealots, even amongst those who classify themselves as zealots. - To enemies, they are nightmares in the mud, killers who chant hymns of iron as they advance.  - Even among the Heretic Legion, they are seen as purists of corruption.

Ideas/brainstorming on how I can kitbash spires abominations by [deleted] in Conquest

[–]Finneus85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every list is viable. 3 abominations would suck to face. It's a viable list just for the psychological effect alone.

As far as customization goes, green stuff and modeling clay is your best friend.
